Douglas County Trail Report 5/18/26

All Summer ATV/UTV and OHM Trails are open again with the exception of the gated sections of trail 217 which is shown on the map as of 5/18/2026.

Effective May 13th, 2026
All County Roads in Washburn County are now open to ATV/UTV traffic.
Signs are posted at all border crossings authorizing use of the County Roads and No ATV Traffic signs are installed where there is not a direct crossing of the State Highway.
An updated map showing all County Roads are open will be posted on the Highway Department Website.
Please drive safe and be respectful of others while driving on our Highways.

The recent rain has helped the fire danger and most of our trails are open once again. Please see our most recent post at Douglas County Forestry Department for the updated and map.

Today is our annual membership meeting at the Almena Vets Club. Social hour begins at noon. Meeting at 1 followed by food.

We will have a meat raffle, 50/50 raffle and a chance to shake for a whole chicken!

If you ride the trails, please consider joining a club to help fund the trails. They do not groom themselves!
