📚 Jim Wells County Rotary Club – Creating Lasting Impact! 💙

Today, Thursday, October 15th, at noon, we enjoyed an inspiring presentation from Mrs. Sylvia Trejo, 2nd Vice President of Tri-County RTA and TRTA Communications & Technology Representative for District 2.

She shared the incredible work members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) Children’s Book Project do to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading among our youth. Through donated and purchased books, countless children across our county and neighboring communities have received books to enjoy and cherish.

These amazing ladies are making a difference, one book and one child at a time! Their dedication to education and our future generations truly reflects our Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.”

Thank you, Mrs. Trejo, and all the dedicated TRTA members for your continued commitment to our children and communities. The impact you are making today will be cherished for generations to come!

Jim Wells County Rotary Club had a good crowd attend today’s meeting. We had Texas State Rep JM Lozano with an excellent and informative presentation with his key focus on border security, job creation, lower taxes, and supporting rural infrastructure and landowners and especially quality education and working on minimizing testing for schools.

President Kelly Austin presented District 43 State Representative JM Lozano an appreciation certificate for being our guest.

It was a “Create Lasting Impact” kind of day!
