Participants from NWTC’s Learning In Retirement putting the final touches on their decorated platters. So much fun for Ellen and Mark to work with this creative group of life long learners.

Looks cozy, doesn’t it? We had a fabulous time taking on YESTERYEAR by Caro Claire Burke—talking books and pop culture at our Red’s + Yardstick Book Club yesterday evening! Join us at Red’s Pub & Grill each Third Thursday at 6pm for great food, excellent society and lively discussion. Next month, November 19, 2026, we’ll be reading THE BEWITCHING by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Books are 15% off if you buy them at Yardstick. See you then!

From Algoma, we share this photo of the participants in #131 Wheel Throwing Class with Eileen Levenhagen showing the troops how to make pots using a pottery wheel. They threw the clay, trimmed it and textured to the forms. Thanks to Mary Ames for coordinating and Jeanne Pfaff for the great photo at Clay on Steele.
