DC Area Benedictine Groups

DC Area Benedictine Groups An ecumenical network of DC area organizations made up of people attracted to applying Benedictine principles to everyday life. Anne’s on the Circle at St.

DC area Benedictine groups comprise an expanding, affiliated network of organizations in which Benedictine life can be experienced and nurtured. A gathering might take place in your home faith community, at a local monastery, in a small cell gathering of individuals from your local area, in a cluster of people that meets at your workplace or school, or a retreat center that aligns itself with Bene

dictine practices. Groups are ecumenical and formats are diverse, for example, some groups discuss the Rule of St. Benedict or commentaries on the rule in a book club style format, some pray the divine office together, some do lectio divina or centering prayer. With current gathering sites in Virginia; downtown DC; Bethesda; and Annapolis, MD; you will be able to find a gathering of support and encouragement wherever you are in the DC metro region. Additionally, our partnership with The Friends of Saint Benedict links the Community to national and international constellations of intention. Gatherings:
