🚗✊ MAY 1st: DMV DRIVERS STRIKE & ACTIONS
This International Workers’ Day, DMV Drivers Alliance is standing shoulder to shoulder with drivers around the world. 🌎 From DC to Lagos to London, we’re fighting back against app exploitation, political betrayal, and a gig economy built on our backs.
We’re organizing TWO EVENTS for May Day:
📍 Richmond Rally (1:00–2:30 PM)
Outside the General Assembly, we’re demanding fair pay, transparency, labor rights, and justice. Drivers AND supporters welcome!
📍 Alexandria Driver Cookout (11:00–3:00 PM)
A gathering for drivers only — to eat, connect, organize, and build the solidarity we need to win.
We’re striking to: ✅ Unite more drivers
✅ Raise public awareness
✅ Develop new leaders
✅ Put pressure on Uber, Lyft, and lawmakers
✅ Build power for the long haul
🛑 Politicians killed our pay and transparency bills — but drivers are fighting back. We’re showing we won’t stop until workers win.
