Did you know that spending time walking in nature has been proven to reduce stress, improve focus, and help break bad thought patterns? 🌳 If you could use a little self-care today, try going for a walk somewhere green! It doesn't have to be a big excursion. The closest city park will do just fine.

Tip: Put your phone on silent if you can, and focus on your senses. What do you see, hear, and smell? 💨Breathe deep. You've got this!

✨ Can we normalize healing?

Let's normalize going to therapy.
Let's normalize setting boundaries without guilt.
Let's normalize taking mental health days when we need them.
Let's normalize asking for help instead of suffering in silence.
And let's normalize celebrating progress, even when it's small.

Healing isn't weakness.
It's courage.

At Nancy's Hope & Joy, we believe every woman deserves access to the support, resources, and mental health care she needs to heal and thrive. 💛

Which one do you think society needs to normalize more? 👇 Tell us in the comments.
And if you agree, share this Reel to help spread the message.

The words we use can have a lasting impact.

When someone is healing from trauma, comments like "Just move on" or "It happened a long time ago" can feel dismissive, even when they're well-intentioned. Healing isn't a straight line, and everyone's journey looks different.

Often, the most supportive thing we can do is listen, believe, and remind someone they're not alone.
💛 "I believe you."
💛 "I'm here for you."
💛 "Take your time."

A little compassion can go a long way.

PTSD doesn't always look like what you think.

It can look like avoiding certain places.
Struggling to sleep.
Feeling constantly on edge.
Reliving moments no one else can see.

Trauma doesn't end when the event is over.

Research has found that while men experience more traumatic events overall, women are significantly more likely to develop PTSD—even when they've experienced the same type of trauma. Sexual violence and childhood abuse are among the strongest risk factors, but they don't tell the whole story. PTSD can affect anyone, and healing is possible with the right support.

At Nancy's Hope & Joy, we help women who have experienced trauma access life-changing mental health treatment—often without leaving a financial trail that could put their safety at risk.

This PTSD Awareness Month, your donation can do more than raise awareness.
It can help someone begin healing.

💛 Every dollar helps provide hope, safety, and access to therapy.

Donate today and help a survivor take the first step toward healing.
