Our mom, Nancy Kirk Reed, was a survivor. Even when carrying the heaviest weight of trauma, her love was unconditional, fierce, and unwavering. She spent her life protecting us—her daughters, Melanie Hope and Emily Joy.

When we lost her, we knew her story couldn't end there. We created Nancy’s Hope & Joy to give other women the lifeline our mother deserved: cost-free, confidential mental health counseling to heal from trauma and rebuild their lives.

On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was certified, giving women the constitutional right to vote. Today, as we celebrate the suffragettes who fought for the rights of women everywhere, we also continue the fight to ensure that every woman has the resources to live a life free from fear and full of possibility.
