This month we introduce you to Rosita, who has faithfully cared for children at Middle Ground as a nurse aide since 2020, providing both preventative and curative care to children battling malnutrition. But her work doesn't stop at our gates.
She also travels into surrounding communities, equipping caregivers with practical health education that helps families thrive long after they return home.
When asked why this work matters, Rosita shared:
"We live in a country where many people experience extreme poverty and cannot afford or access healthcare. Because of this, the work of the center is like a source of hope and relief, especially for families living in remote and underserved communities."
In the midst of Haiti's ongoing challenges, Rosita's hope remains steadfast.
"My hope comes from my faith in God. I believe in His promises and His plan for my life. Even during this difficult and uncertain time, I trust that God is in control. This faith gives me hope, strength, and the motivation to keep serving others and believing in a better future."
Behind every child who recovers from malnutrition is a dedicated Haitian professional like Rosita, showing up day after day with compassion, skill, and unwavering hope.
Today, we're grateful for Rosita and every member of our Haitian staff who continue to serve families with excellence, even in the most difficult circumstances. β€οΈππΉ
