Tinker's back story:
She joined our rescue late last summer after her beloved human passed away unexpectedly. Her and 2 other kitties joined Ellie's Legacy Pet Rescue in search of new homes. Tinker has made huge progress and is looking for her forever family.

Tinker is 12 years young with SO much love to share! She enjoys being around humans, both very young and old! Her favorite thing is getting chin scratches, nature watching out the window. She does amazing with dogs of various sizes and other cats, as well! This sweetheart deserves her forever home and family!

Happy birthday to our board member, Chelsie!

She does so much for our rescue, including many behind the scenes things all the time! She helped foster many kittens, pregnant mamas, and older kittens!

Sadie update:

She went to see a different vet yesterday and after examination, they found a large mass in her stomach. Due to her rapid decline in health, her owner had to make the tough decision to help Sadie cross the rainbow bridge instead of suffering any longer.

All proceeds that were raised for Sadie the other day did go towards her appointment yesterday and for humanely helping her cross the rainbow bridge.

This is what her mom said, "I just wanted to say thank you so much for donating towards my Sadie girl. I was praying that she could get better, but unfortunately, I learned today at the vet. She had a huge mass in her stomach believed to be leukemia and with how fast she was declining I chose to put her down, which is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I wanted to be selfish and keep her with me, but I knew it wasn’t the right thing to do so she is now in heaven thank you everyone it means more than you will ever know."

Thank you everyone who donated, shared and prayed for a better outcome for this precious soul. Rest easy, Sadie, you were very loved.

Happy birthday to our board member, Tracy!

Over the past 5 years, she fostered 60 kittens, 53 of them being bottle kittens from hours to weeks old! She's also our social media relations in charge of posting, sharing, etc.

Thank you to everyone who donated and shared about Sadie yesterday! You guys came together within hours we met our goal and can get this poor baby back into the vet asap!

We greatly appreciate our community of followers and those who donate! Ellie's Legacy Pet Rescue and Bailey's HOPE honestly would NOT exist without all of your help and support over the years! Because of you, we've been able to rescue close to 1,000 dogs and cats and assist with emergency vet care costs for many pets who would otherwise not be here today!

S.O.S URGENT MATTER!!

Sadie, the dog who received help last week for an infection, is in dire need of getting back to the vet. She's no longer eating and becoming very weak. Her mom can no longer even get the antibiotics into Sadie due to not eating and not allowing it to be administered.

We are seeking emergency monetary donations to get her back in and see what else is going on. Our goal is to raise at least $500!

Sadie's mom reached out to us the other day, very concerned about her. She was totally fine several days ago, and then all of a sudden, a lump presented itself in Sadie's throat, causing her to stop eating and drinking water.

Her mom is a single mother on very limited income and was turned away from several places she reached out to for help. Bailey's HOPE offered assistance to get Sadie into a vet same day given the nature of the situation.

Sadie is being treated with antibiotics for an infection, although cancer has not been ruled out yet at this time.

We received an update yesterday afternoon that Sadie had eaten 3 cans of wet dog food. Mind you, she hadn't eaten in several days, and her tail is wagging! Her mom thanked us for saving her baby's life!

Stories like Preston and Sadie are the reason Bailey's HOPE program was developed! Everyone needs a little help sometimes, and our mission is to help keep pets with their families regardless of their family's wealth.

Preston's mom reached out to us very concerned about him. She's permanently disabled on limited income.

She had spent the entire night up with him as he had a very wet cough, difficulty breathing, labored breathing, panting and a fever.

Bailey's HOPE offered assistance to get him into the vet right away.

She was able to get him into the vet yesterday afternoon where they did an exam and were very concerned about fluid in his chest and his fever had become 105.5, nearing emergency level. Normal cats temperature is around 100. They did chest x rays and found the answer right away. Majority of both lungs were shaded on images meaning he had aspirated pneumonia.
He was given antibiotics and for his mom to closely monitor him, especially with the high fever.

Preston's mom reached out to us after she got him home and comfortable and said this:

" thank you SO much for your help! Preston would've died a horrible and scary death before I could've afforded to get him into the vet. You literally saved my baby boys life and I am in tears over this fact!"

Bailey's HOPE is in need of funding to help more family pets just like Preston. We've been receiving more emergent requests for help and want to be able to help owners in need and help save lives just like Preston! Remember donations are tax deductible!
