A big thank you to the volunteers from Lake Community Church for spending time at Nelson Care Center by Vivie and helping care for spaces our residents enjoy every day.

The group washed windows, weeded the Healing Garden, trimmed landscaping, refreshed the gazebo, and hung bird feeders. Their hard work and generosity made a noticeable difference, and we’re grateful for the care they showed our community.

Thank you, Lake Community Church, for your service and for helping create welcoming spaces for the people who call Nelson Care Center home.

Residents at Crystal Brook by Vivie rolled up their sleeves and got their hands in the soil as they planted flower and vegetable gardens in the courtyard.

Green beans, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, and pumpkins are now growing in the garden beds, bringing color, purpose, and anticipation for the season ahead. Residents worked together to prepare the soil, plant seeds, and arrange flowers that will brighten the courtyard throughout the summer.

They’re looking forward to watching the gardens grow and enjoying the harvest in the months ahead.

Residents at Northfield Retirement Community by Vivie recently gathered to view the community's collection of Madame Alexander dolls. Featuring dolls representing countries from around the world, the display sparked conversation as residents shared stories and memories inspired by the dolls. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore and spend time together.

Laughter filled the room at Timber Pines by Vivie when Ole Olson, also known as Bruce Danielson, stopped by to share his comedy routine. From stories inspired by his Norwegian heritage to plenty of classic one-liners, he kept residents, team members, and guests laughing from start to finish.

Bruce was named the 2025 Cambridge Senior Citizen of the Year, and after spending time with him, it’s easy to see why. Thank you for sharing your humor and stories with our community.
