Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re reminded that looking out for one another can start with something as simple as a conversation.

In the construction industry, where too many people struggle in silence, checking in matters. Ask the question. Take the time to listen. Let someone know they don’t have to carry what they’re facing alone. 💙

Changing the narrative on su***de starts with a conversation.

That is the theme of this year’s World Su***de Prevention Day, and it is something each of us can help put into action.

If someone seems withdrawn, overwhelmed, or simply not like themselves, do not let the fear of saying the wrong thing keep you from reaching out.

Ask how they are really doing. Listen without judgment. If you are concerned, it is okay to ask directly, “Are you thinking about su***de?”

You do not need to have all the answers. Starting the conversation can make a difference.
