ALOE is collecting extra, un-wanted and un-opened candy for the kids at Loudoun Homeless Services Center today through next Friday, November 8th. Drop off locations are both in the Grove (40924 Blossom Glade Drive and 41091 Freshfields Court). Thank you in advance for helping to put extra smiles on these kids' faces!

Hi friends! ALOE has a new giveback activity you can volunteer and participate in!!

Loudoun Homless shelter is in need of bagged lunches. I will personally deliver them on Monday. Please pack the lunches in brown bags and drop them off either Sunday night or Monday Morning. Here are the details:

Sunday night drop-off: 8–9:00pm
Monday morning drop-off: 6–8:30 am
Location: 40924 Blossom Glade Dr.

What to include:
PBJ or sun butter sandwich
1 piece of fruit (ideally apple or a banana)
+ 2 other items of your choice (chips, cookies, little cakes, granola bar, etc)
— peanuts are okay for them.

Nothing will be refrigerated so everything needs to be “room temp” friendly.

Feel free to pack several lunches with your kiddos and talk with them about other families in need of some lunch support here in Loudoun County. You could also consider having them help you shop for the food items.

Please only donate items already packed in the lunches. This is a lunch drive to help them with an immediate/ current need.

We have exciting news!!! ALOE and Willowsford Cares have teamed up to bring you THE BIG GIVE!

The Big Give is an incredible one date event, where families from our community will come together for a day of surprises, which will positively impact others through community service, charitable contributions and giving back.

This is a family friendly event for all ages, but the event is limited to 40 families, so sign up today. We look forward to spending hands on, immersive day-of-service with you!

We had a great time crafting for Valentine’s Day at Loudoun Homless Services today. Thank you so much to all our Volunteers for making this such a fun day! Hello! Loudoun homeless shelter has a need for bottled drinking water. ALOE wants to help. They have a lot more ppl there as they are currently also operating as a hypothermia shelter for those who would be in tents etc.

All you have to do is grab a case of water with your next grocery order. You can then drop it off to our board member Sandy at 41090 Freshfields Ct, Aldie, VA.

Let’s solve this problem for them this winter!! We will collect between now and Saturday, January 20th.

We will deliver the water between Jan 21–Jan 23 sometime.

Thank you so much Tiffany for these amazing hygiene baskets delivered to ALOE today on Giving Tuesday! We are still in need of a few more baskets if anyone is looking for a volunteer activity that is kid friendly. These will go to San Mar in a little over a week. More info on our website 🙌🏻

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, and we are excited to give all of our love & support to the amazing rescue animals of FOHA.

On Saturday, December 16th from 10am - 12pm, we will be visiting FOHA (Friends of Homeless Animals,) our very own local NO KILL rescue, who has saved more than 17,000 dogs and cats that would have otherwise been abandoned or killed.

During our visit, our children will receive a tour of the facility, learn about the importance of animal rescue, participate in an enrichment activity for the animals and possibly meet a few of the adoptable cats and dogs who currently reside at FOHA. We are excited to help teach the children of our community the importance of advocating for those without a voice!

Because it is December and will be very cold outside, FOHA can only accommodate a small group of up to 10 children (inside of their facility buildings.)
