Today our “Cottonwoods” (4th through 6th graders) explored Día de los Mu***os through a special display at the library featuring ofrendas, decorations, and educational materials. They also enjoyed hands-on art activities, including making sugar skull keychains and backpack charms.

To continue encouraging a love of reading, they checked out library books to take home and enjoy.

We are so grateful for our children’s curiosity and openness as they learn about and embrace cultural traditions that are meaningful to our local community. 💀🌸📚

Yesterday "The Peaks" participated in an interactive training that introduced the teens to essential life-saving skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Our Teens learned how to recognize and respond to common emergencies, including choking, bleeding, burns, and sudden illness. The session included practice in performing CPR on a child and adult mannequins, using an AED, and providing care until professional help arrives.

Teens engaged in group activities, scenario-based role play, and guided practice to build confidence in responding calmly and effectively during real-life situations. They left ready to "Save the World!"

The Piñons celebrated Black excellence in soccer at the New Mexico United game! Before kickoff, the kids learned about the legendary Pelé, enjoyed a picnic, and practiced their soccer moves. Our chapter was even recognized on the Jumbotron during halftime! After the game, the kids hit the field to meet players, snap photos, and collect signatures.

Over the weekend, 8 Mother members of the Albuquerque-Santa Fe Metro Area Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated attended the 2025 Area Work Day in El Paso, Texas.

We gained valuable insight into chapter operations, leadership development, programming excellence — while exploring new and exciting ways to better serve our children and the community. 💙🩷
