The NM Dream Team (NMDT) is the largest immigrant youth-led network in New Mexico committed to create power for multigenerational, undocumented, and mixed status families towards liberation through leadership development, civic engagement, policy research, curriculum building and grassroots organizing, to cultivate and develop the leaders for the upcoming generations by using an intersectional, ge

At the New Mexico Dream Team, we stand in solidarity with protesters at Delaney Hall.✊🏾

Everyone deserves the freedom to stay in the place they call home without feeling threatened. Detention Centers kidnap people and put them in cages for a check and Delaney is no different. IT IS TIME TO STOP PUTTING PROFITS OVER PEOPLE.

We live in a state where hyper surveillance is constantly targeting our communities. This is especially prevalent here in borderland territory, where we share borders, not only with Mexico but also with Indigenous Nations. These borders and technology are used to police not only our people and land but our identities too. No one is actually safe, until we are all safe. Excluding people because of their gender expression, outspoken views against injustices and genocide, or where they were born is not going to keep you safe.

This land is not just the “wild west”. We’re standing on land that has protected generations of q***r, Black, and Immigrant folks from targeted attacks and displacement. This is happening again today because of anti-trans, racist, xenophobic, and bigoted legislation that is constantly attacking our communities. There’s a long history of industries and institutions here in the South West benefitting from our labor and exploiting our creativity. From this, the Gay Agenda Show was born, where we believe that if they’re going to watch we might as well give them a show.

The Gay Agenda Show is a safe space where our communities will be able to have fun while receiving education regarding the southwest and its place at this moment with an award-winning line up of performers.

Our 2026 Pride Events Guide just dropped 🏳️‍🌈✨

As q***r and immigrant youth, we hear many discouraging things online, behind closed doors and out in the open. Things that remind us that maybe we don’t belong, or that we are to blame for the detriment of a society, or that we are not normal or that there are no viable careers or ways for us to actually thrive. The legacy of the NMDT has been to reject those notions and to be bold enough to create and fight for our own opportunities here in the state of New Mexico.

This is why we encourage our community to join us at any of these events happening in Albuquerque and Las Cruces, to create the spaces that our q***r and immigrant youth deserve!

🚨CALL TO ACTION: SUPPORT THE ALBUQUERQUE MINIMUM WAGE ORDINANCE BEING HEARD TODAY🚨

This ordinance will increase the wages in ABQ from $12/hour to $15/hour beginning in 2027.

The workers of Albuquerque have been the backbone of our local economy! Everyone deserves to live without fearing if they will have enough to pay for rent that month. Our communities deserve the freedom to thrive and having livable wages is a step in the right direction.✊🏾

This is what leadership looks like!

We want to give a huge shout out to Emanuel, our Highland HS Chapter Lead and an amazing student artist that can proudly say his art represents a movement! Emanuel’s “Afuera ICE” penguin design became the face of the New Mexico State University ICE Out of Campus campaign. The ICE Out of Campus campaign is a coalition of three campus organizations (Students for Justice in Palestine, Graduate Workers United and NMSU Dream Team) to fight for a campus where the majority minority student body can feel safe. They have been making calls for NMSU to cease collaboration with CBP, and keep campus safe.

Their demands are:
Immediate ban of all ICE and CBP recruitment activity at NMSU.
The enactment of a formal policy requiring a judicial warrant for any federal immigration enforcement activity on NMSU property.
A public reaffirmation of NMSU as a sanctuary for all, regardless of race or natural origin.

It is truly beautiful to witness Emanuel’s art representing such a powerful movement that is meant to ensure the security of our communities on campus.
