Indigenous People’s Day is also an opportunity to recognize that Native communities are not

only part of our country’s history.

Women Are Holy. Women Are Sacred. 💜

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Native Women Lead and NMCADV are coming together to uplift Native women, amplify awareness, and help connect our communities with resources both on and off reservation.

Support is available. Resources are available. And no woman should have to navigate these experiences alone.

Throughout October, we’ll continue sharing resources, information, and ways to support Native women and survivors in our communities.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

This month, Native Women Lead honors the strength of our sisters and stands alongside the women, survivors, families, caregivers, and communities impacted by breast cancer.

We celebrate survivors, honor those currently navigating their journey, remember those we have lost, and recognize the families and communities who continue to surround their loved ones with care and support.

We also encourage our community to prioritize their health, learn about breast cancer screening and early detection, and have conversations with their healthcare providers about what is right for them.

Throughout October, we honor the courage, strength, and resilience carried by so many within our communities.

Native Women Lead had such a wonderful time at Cotton Blossom Gardens, coming together over fresh ingredients, good food, laughter, and community. 💜

From chopping and mixing to sharing the finished food, moments like these remind us that connection can happen around a table, in a garden, and through the simple act of creating something together.

We’re grateful for spaces that allow us to slow down, learn from one another, and strengthen the relationships that keep our communities rooted and growing. 🌿✨

Native Women Lead was grateful to be part of the 2026 Women’s Economic Summit, joining women and community partners from across New Mexico for a day centered on connection, conversation, and economic opportunity.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to show up, share resources, build relationships, and continue supporting Native women as they lead in business and in their communities.
