We were so excited to be invited to take place in today’s Isotopes/Mariachis Lowrider night “.

One of our students Alianna Sandoval, along with Program Coordinator Rob Vanderslice and mentor Joseph Leyba were invited to throw out the first pitch.

Our students were able to showcase their bikes that they worked on during the first year of our pilot program.

As part of our 3rd Annual Cruising Community Policing Conference, our conference attendees visited Edward Gonzales Elementary School to share the Albuquerque Police Department's Lowrider Police Car with the students and to talk to them about lowriding. This is the second year in a row where we have visited an elementary school as part of our conference. As part of our national network and movement, we are trying to engage youth at the elementary and middle school levels in order to provide them with positive afterschool program opportunities.
