JA of NM is ✨ thrilled ✨ to announce the promotion of our Senior Program Coordinators, Jordana and Krystle, to Program Managers!

As Program Managers, Jordana and Krystle will lead our Program Team in planning and implementing programs for the 2026-2027 School Year and beyond.

Jordana and Krystle are a powerhouse team and we’re so grateful for the dedication and leadership they bring to our organization and community. 🎉

Jordana Thompson joined JA of NM’s Program Team in 2021. Since then, she’s engaged with thousands of educators and volunteers, serving more than 57,000 students! Jordana is our tech and A/V queen, idea incubator, and creative genius. We’re grateful for the commitment, wisdom, and ingenuity she brings to her work each day.

Krystle Ortiz joined JA of NM’s Program Team in 2023. Krystle’s main focus at JA of NM is serving our Indigenous Students and Communities with financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship education. Krystle brings an immense amount of professionalism and infectious joy to the office each day, and we wouldn’t be the same without her!

A summer job is more than a paycheck, it’s often a young person’s first step toward independence, confidence, and career readiness.

Through hands-on experiences, students learn how to communicate, problem-solve, manage responsibility, and navigate the workplace, skills that last far beyond the summer season.

At Junior Achievement, we’re helping prepare students for those opportunities and the future ahead.

The connection between education and economic opportunity is evolving. Today, preparing students for what’s next takes more than academic achievement alone.

Early access to financial literacy, career-connected learning, and entrepreneurial experiences helps students build the confidence and real-world skills needed to navigate their futures and thrive in a changing workforce.

Our latest blog explores how these experiences help bridge the gap between classroom learning and long-term economic success.
