Supporting other programs and the young women who are part of them is one of the most important and impactful parts of programs like ours. Showing up is so important!! We are grateful to have formed such a special bond with the ambassadors from Northfield year in and year out and are grateful for the chance to support them. Not to mention breakfast was so good!!

We were grateful to spend our Thursday night in Central Park with so many of our favorite people. There’s nothing quite like being at home in the community to fill your cup. Thank you to everyone who joined us and thank you to the Lions for this wonderful opportunity. Shout out to the music sponsor HealthSource Chiropractic of Albertville, who happens to be a treasured part of our alumni!!

The impact Sandy had in our community and the legacy she leaves behind is truly unmatched. Thank you Sandy for everything, until we meet again. 💕

I apologize for not posting sooner, but this has been a difficult post to write.

Family Youth Community Connections (FYCC) would like to share with those who have not yet heard that the St. Michael-Albertville community lost a truly remarkable, strong, and compassionate community leader, Sandra Greninger, on Tuesday, July 28th.

Sandy founded Family Youth Community Connections (FYCC) in 1999. Without her vision, dedication, and passion, our incredible family-centered organization and the many programs that have benefited countless families would not exist today.

Sandy was also involved with numerous organizations throughout the community, including Women of Today, STMA Rotary, and Discover STMA. She helped launch many community initiatives, with one of the most recent being the Bravera STMA Food Pantry.

I had the privilege of working alongside Sandy for more than six years, but I knew her long before that. My boys worked for her as outdoor ice rink attendants, her son worked for my husband and me, and my daughter had the opportunity to participate in one of FYCC's Montana Horse Ranch trips.

Working with Sandy allowed me to witness firsthand the caring, determined, and inspiring leader she was. If someone needed help, she made sure they received it. And if the resources didn't exist, she found a way to create them. Sandy touched the lives of so many youth, families, and seniors through her unwavering commitment to serving others.

Sandy leaves behind an incredible legacy that will continue to impact our community for generations to come. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Sandy. Thank you for everything you gave to our community. ❤️

If you would like to share a memory please email to [email protected] by August 1st.

But wait there is more…..

Following Meet The Candidates, Claire and the rest of the Minneapolis Aquatennial candidates headed to Fogo Chão for dinner before taking part in the Minneapolis Aquatennial Torchlight Parade where most of her royal family joined her to celebrate this very special week. Thursday, Claire and the rest of her candidate class spent their morning in interviews before taking a voyage around Minneapolis learning about the city and enjoying the parks. The evening wrapped up with the Commodore‘s Dinner celebrating this year‘s wonderful team and welcoming in three new women who will lead the program in the coming year. On Friday, the last of the interviews wrapped before a celebratory boat cruise on Lake Minnetonka, and a fun Twins game.

It has been such a pleasure for us to watch Claire shine this week and we cannot express how truly proud of her we are nor how excited we are to cheer her on at 4 o’clock during the Minneapolis Aquatennial Coronation. We will do our best to share the link for everyone at home to watch coronation but stay tuned to the Minneapolis Aquatennial page for that as well. We love you Claire!

Claire is having so much fun soaking in every minute of the Minneapolis Aquatennial Candidate Experience!! After checking in Tuesday she presented during the “People and Places” presentation at Community Luncheon, took in a seminar session, enjoyed the alumni boat cruise where she answered her first fishbowl question, before meeting her roommate for the week Annandale’s representative Belle!! Today she had her first interview, presented about our Albertville Fire Station at Meet The Candidates, and enjoined dinner at Fogo de Chão before taking part in the Minneapolis Aquatennial Torchlight Parade. More fun to come tomorrow and Friday!! Keep being you and having fun, we are so proud watching you shine!!

We had SO much fun this past weekend taking part in Monticello’s Riverfest Parade dressed as Cinderella. This years parade had a back to the 50s theme and what better way to share a little sparkle, then bringing to life once again Disney’s Cinderella, which premiered February 15th 1950.

Voting for your favorite float end on Thursday, we’d love if you took a moment to vote for us. Winner receives premier placement in next year’s parade. Extra special shout out to Monticello Royal Ambassador Program for voting us the best themed float for visiting royalty during the coronation at the park this past Sunday.
