The Albany/Kenwood Data Center developer EKG Group has been spreading misleading and false information about their proposed site. Join local residents to learn about exactly what the Kenwood data center means for our community and how the data center is still in the process of being considered by Albany city officials. This center will harm our health, economy and climate, and raise our electric costs. Local organizers will present on Tuesday night.

We will also review and fact check the new claims we heard at Wednesday’s EKG Group presentation at the Albany Community Center. There will be plenty of time to have important discussions on what to do next and work together to organize. We want to hear from you.

Tuesday, August 11th at 6pm-7:30pm
Albany Friend’s Meeting House
727 Madison Ave, Albany, NY 12208

TOMORROW!! Let's show up for Ilion, NY!

While the moratorium puts a pause on construction and obtaining permits for data centers, it doesn't guarantee that preparations can't be made until then.

The residents of Ilion, NY, have voiced concerns about the former Re*****on Arms being turned into a data center, this is something we shouldn't ignore.

The Village of Ilion has a population of about 7,500, with several state forests reservoirs surrounding the area. The creation of a data center here will not only disrupt the people's peace, it could also harm the natural resources.

On 7/25, the residents along with anyone interested will gather in front of Re*****on Arms to demand the moratorium be longer than one year to ensure no data centers are built within the village. Data Centers do NOT belong in New York, or anywhere. No Kings Collective Albany will have folks to provide safety should we see a big turnout.

The power belongs to the people, it's up to us to make change. Let's show some support to Ilion!

"Saturday, July 25th 12pm-1:30pm will be the next AI Data Center protest at the Re*****on Arms Factory main gate entrance on East Clark Street again."

Ilion, NY needs our help! While Albany is still trying to aquire Data Center permits, Turin Management LLC *secured* the permits for Ilion last year! Even if Hochul were to sign the moratorium today, it would have no effect on the Old Re*****on Arms becoming a Data Center. This is unacceptable. We need to come together and support the local towns who need it!

No Kings Collective Albany invites the public to support outreach. Safety Marshals will be present to ensure safety.

On Monday evening, we had a demonstration with 25 people outside City Hall before the Albany Common Council meeting. Our rally made clear our opposition to the proposed Kenwood data center and our support to the council’s resolution supporting the NY legislature’s bill to establish a one-year moratorium on data centers. We heard from speakers, picketed, and then entered the chambers with our signs. Many of our members spoke during public comment during the meeting to express their support for the resolution and opposition to the Kenwood data center. In a 13-0 vote, the Council passed the resolution. Councilmember John Williamson abstained from Monday’s vote. We thank the council members who voted for the resolution, and Councilwoman for sponsoring the resolution. No Kings Collective Albany will be fighting to stop this data center every step of the way. This afternoon, we gathered outside the Albany planning board building at 200 Henry Johnson to protest against the proposed data center in Kenwood. We also went inside during the 6pm planning board meeting with our signs to make our opposition clear to the members of the planning board.
