We are seeking an Event Coordinator to join our team!
Are you passionate about creating meaningful events that bring people together and support an important cause? We're looking for a highly organized, creative, and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our nonprofit team.
Our organization is dedicated to helping single parents achieve their academic goals by providing support, resources, and encouragement. As our Event Coordinator, you'll play a key role in planning events that strengthen our community, engage supporters, celebrate our participants, and help raise awareness and funds for our mission.
Position Summary:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events throughout the year, including fundraising events, community outreach activities, volunteer appreciation events, and participant celebrations. This position works closely with staff, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to ensure each event is successful and aligned with our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate fundraising, community, and donor engagement events from start to finish.
* Develop event timelines, budgets, and logistical plans.
* Secure venues, vendors, sponsors, and in-kind donations as needed.
* Recruit and coordinate volunteers for events.
* Collaborate with the communications team to promote events through social media, email, and other outreach efforts.
* Manage event registration, attendee communication, and day-of-event operations.
* Build relationships with community partners and local businesses.
* Track event outcomes and recommend improvements for future events.
Qualifications:
* Experience coordinating events, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Comfortable working occasional evenings or weekends for events.
* Passion for serving families and supporting single parents pursuing higher education.
