We are incredibly blessed and grateful for the beautiful congregation at Alpha Baptist Church in Leesburg! ❤️

The pastor and his wife have been following our ministry and felt led to reach out. Through the generosity of an anonymous church member and the heart of a church that desires to serve, Alpha Baptist Church has chosen to partner with Common Grounds Outreach through a monthly contribution.

Their support will help us continue to provide meals, meet practical needs, and most importantly, share the love of Jesus and the truth of His Word with those we serve.

We are humbled to see God opening doors, connecting ministries, and bringing His people together for His purpose. Thank you, Alpha Baptist Church, for your generosity, your prayers, and your commitment to loving others well.

Because of your kindness, we now have devotionals, reading glasses, various hygiene items, reusable bags, and to-go containers that will be used to bless and serve our friends in need throughout our community.

Every donation makes a difference, and these items will help us meet both practical and spiritual needs as we share hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ.

What an incredible day of serving! ❤️

Today, 27 hot meals were served, and not one person needed a second meal because we had enough for everyone! 👏👏

Along with meals, we distributed a full bag of men’s clothing, shoes, socks, bug spray, rain ponchos, pop-up tents, and other essentials. We were blessed to see familiar faces like Pops, Star, Missy, Josh, Ed, Kenny, and our six friends at the boarding house.

What amazed us most was the number of new people we met today. Aside from our regular friends, nearly everyone else was someone new. It was both heartbreaking and eye-opening to see how many people are struggling right here in our community.

With Father’s Day approaching, several men shared how much it meant to simply be seen, encouraged, and reminded that they are loved. Those conversations were a blessing we won’t soon forget. We were also able to connect with and serve some new women in need.

A special thank you to our friends at J&E Country Cooking for once again providing the delicious meals that make these outreach days possible. Your generosity helps us feed both bodies and hearts. ❤️

💚 Help Us Protect a Friend’s Vision 💚

Over the past several months, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside one of our friends who currently lives in a boarding home. He is without insurance, and we are working to help him obtain the documents he needs so he can apply for an ID and health coverage.

Recently, he began having trouble with his vision. Thanks to the incredible generosity of a local optometrist, he received a FREE eye exam and a pair of glasses with transition lenses to help him while working outdoors.

During that exam, he was diagnosed with glaucoma (shared with his permission). The good news is that medication has already helped lower his eye pressure. The next step is specialized glaucoma testing so the doctor can determine the stage of the disease and ensure he receives the treatment needed to protect his sight.

The cost of this testing is $212.
