Medical ethics have an impact not only on patients, but also on their healthcare providers. This article examines discrimination within healthcare workplaces and how it affects both healthcare workers’ well-being and the quality of patient care.
It introduces the concept of affective injustice, and raises questions about the duty to care, especially when healthcare providers face discriminatory patients and must balance professional obligations with their own dignity and mental health.
