Happy New Year Everyone! We are excited to get things rolling this year. We are also excited to announce that Safe Haven and Realness Talent Agency & Magazine will be expanding to the Troy Area in the upcoming months. This will be the Primary Place for our Talent Agency.
Services will be Operating on a Sliding Scale fee so that all services are affordable to individuals.

The Talent Agency will offer: Photography/photoshoot sessions Music Video Production Music Production/Recording (Not Available yet)

For Our Community Center We Plan to Produce 1 Play and 1 Short Film This Year. Anyone can Audition For these Productions (NO ACTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

We are calling all Q***r talent for Volunteers:
-Actors
-Clothing Designers
-Writers
-Prop Designers
-Camera Crew
Etc.

All Positions are Volunteer at the moment.
To add to that we have so many amazing events coming up for the community such as:

-The Second LGBTQ+ Prom : A Masquerade Ball
- BLACK LIVES MATTER PRIDE : (June 2022)
- Paint and Sips
- LBGTQ+ BRUNCHES 🥓🍛🍸🍹(Spring/Summer 2022)

Our Services will be available as soon as we raise $2,000 to buy all equipment needed to donate contact us.

Safe Haven Is a 501c3 Organization. As a Community where we keep each other Safe we can Reach This Goal and Make it happen for individuals who are less fortunate and are unable to purchase food for dinner.

Safe Haven LGBTQ+ Inc. was created to Provide a Safe engaging and Creative space through Creative arts such as Creative Writing, theater, music/media production for black and brown transmen/transwomen, and LGBTQ Youth/Young adults to help prevent depression(Suicide), addiction, hunger, homelessness, incarceration or death for Q***r and Transgender POC s*x workers. With this mission, we aim to give education through Creative expression while also helping the Capital Region hands-on with programs such as mutual aid for financial support with housing (Back Rent, Hotel Rooms for Homeless LGBTQ individuals ) until we have a building for a shelter. We will offer other Programs Such as a Clothing Closet so individuals can get the new/slightly used clothing they need to feel euphoric. We also will offer 3 Meals a day to help with hunger. If you or anyone you know have any suggestions on how we can serve our community in other ways PLEASE REACH OUT TO US!!

On September 21st we had our Open House with Messiah Lutheran Church. It was a blast. We can not wait to have similar events and more in the upcoming months. As we open our community center’s doors this summer, we’re hoping to not only provide LGBTQ+ teens with a safe place to meet and support one another, but a place that values their ideas and amplifies their voices. With only a handful of popular tv shows, movies, and music featuring LGBTQ+ actors and artists, it’s easy for teens to feel unrepresented. This is even more damaging for those of us who don’t feel heard or understood at home. At Safe Haven, we’re working to change that, but we need your help.

In high school, I was able to take video production classes and as I worked on projects at the recording studio, I found new ways to express my feelings in a way that was healthy and that others in my community could relate to. I was finally able to find my voice and share it with the world around me, now I’m hoping to create that experience for the next generation of LGBTQ+ youth.

We’re hoping to raise $10,000 to purchase media equipment for our very own recording studio. With this addition, local LGBTQ+ teens will gain access to a space that sparks creativity and amplifies their voice, whether that’s by producing music, recording podcasts, or filming videos.

Hello family and friends, we are sorry for the Delay with posting and updating you all with the details of Safe Haven. First let us start by saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone that donated , volunteered and Attended “A night on the red carpet” Adult Prom. This was Safe Haven’s first event. We are glad you all had a wonderful time. Safe Havens goal is to be different than any other organization in the capital region. As a community we should celebrate ourselves not only during Pride month but year round. Safe Haven will hold fun events all year. So make sure you keep a look out on this page or our website www.safehavenlgbtqinc.com. We are also happy to announce that Realness Talent Agency & Magazine is a baby of safe haven. Keep an eye on both pages for casting calls.
