Nearly every person in St. Lucia has picked a side, and it's not politics.

Since the late 1800s, St. Lucians have belonged to one of two rival flower societies: La Rose or La Marguerite. Each has its own patron saint, its own royal court of kings and queens, and months of nightly rehearsals called séances leading up to its feast day. Families have been split down Rose and Marguerite lines for generations.

Ask someone which side they're on and watch their face change. It isn't a performance for tourists. It's a real, living rivalry that predates almost everything else on the island's cultural calendar.

The island's national dish carries its own version of that same instinct to hold onto what's yours. Green fig, which is unripe banana and not a fig at all, paired with salted cod that was once the only preserved protein available to enslaved Africans on the island. It's survival, plated, and still how most St. Lucians start their day.

The Pitons. Soufrière. November 12–16, 2027. Piton Sistas dresses the week around both traditions, rose on arrival, purple at the farewell dinner. 10 seats remain.

The most important religious ritual in ancient Greece was a mother who refused to accept her daughter was gone.

When Hades took Persephone to the underworld, Demeter would not let a single seed grow until her daughter came back. Athens built the Sacred Way, its only paved road in the ancient world, running fourteen miles from the city to the temple at Eleusis where that reunion was reenacted every year for nearly two thousand years, from roughly 1600 BCE to 392 CE.

Nobody who witnessed it ever wrote down what happened inside. Every initiate swore silence on penalty of death, and they kept that promise for two millennia.

The Parthenon that any Eleusinian pilgrim would have passed on the way out of Athens wasn't the bare white marble tourists photograph now. It was carved in the 5th century BCE and painted in Egyptian blue, shellfish purple, and gold, and the color wore away long before anyone thought to write down that it had ever been there. Roughly half of what survived isn't even in Greece anymore.

The sculptures sit in the British Museum in London, removed in the early 1800s. Greece has been asking for them back since 1983.

Athens. Kos. Crete. June 10–16, 2027.

3 seats remain for Sistas on the Aegean Seas: Adult Mommy + Me, our mother-daughter departure.

Do you actually know your mother?

You know her coffee order by heart. You've heard the same stories a hundred times. But when was the last time you asked her who she was before she became your mother?

Most of us never do. Not because we don't care. Because somewhere between raising you and watching you become a woman, the roles got set, and the two women underneath got less time to just meet.

That's what Greece Sistas: Adult Mommy + Me is built for.

Seven days. Just you and her, Athens, Kos, Crete, designed for you to experience each other differently.

Not mother trailing daughter or daughter managing mother. Two grown women with stories they haven't told each other yet.

Book this weekend with your deposit: your mama gets $1,000 off + you both get mommy & me spa treatments in Greece.

Pay in full this weekend:
your mama gets $1,000 off
you get a $1,000 2028 travel credit
you both get the full Greece Mommy + Me

Arrival Sistas Experience, room upgrade when available, spa treatment, mother-daughter photoshoot, and a mommy + me welcome gift.

Dates: June 10–16, 2027. Only 3 rooms left

What's one thing you've never asked your mother about her life before you?

Still thinking, sis? 2026 Departures are officially CLOSED.

Every Bougie Black Girls departure for the rest of the year is sold out.

Barbados. Morocco. Antigua. ALL sold out!

And some of you watched it happen in real time.

You watched the rooms disappear. You watched the trips close.

You watched other sisters book the destination you had sitting in your browser.

And you kept thinking about it.

Now 2027 is moving.

Japan: SOLD OUT. Kenya: SOLD OUT. Zanzibar: 50% SOLD. Seychelles: 50% SOLD. Greece Sistas: Adult Mommy + Me is already 50% sold.

Sis, I need you to see the pattern.

You watched 2026 sell out. Don't watch 2027 do the same thing.

Stop waiting for everybody to be ready. Stop sending the link to the group chat. Stop telling yourself you'll book "next time."

Because next time keeps selling out.

Don't think twice, sis. Book the trip.

2027 is open. It won't stay that way.

By our final dinner, we weren’t the same sisters who landed in San Pedro five days ago as strangers, carrying different reasons for saying yes to this departure.

After the night we had, the we designed our day differently. Some sistas hit the eco museum, some posted up by the pool, some found their way into town for a little shopping. A few of us just slept it off.

Then Yellow. Gold, marigold, butter, canary, champagne, mustard, every shade at Sea Salt for the farewell dinner, the water going gold behind us while the sun dropped.

We closed the table the way we opened it. One question, everybody answering.

“what's one thing you're taking home that you didn't arrive with?”

The itinerary can tell you about Hol Chan. It can tell you we fed tarpon off a dock, drank rum punch on a boat, ate our way through San Pedro, danced at the Block Party, and closed it out at a table full of yellow at Sea Salt while the sun went down behind us.

What it can't show you: the inside jokes that didn't exist on Thursday. The sister you started looking for without meaning to when it was time to leave. The conversations that ran long after dinner was supposed to be over.

Strangers truly became sisters as we made a promise to meet up next year July in Zanzibar.

We ate our way through San Pedro, sis

From our 11 am food tour through San Pedro town run by a family that's called this island home for generations.

Eight different tastes before lunch, panades and salbutes, fry jacks local chocolates and truffles and their national dish rice and beans, and a few things we didn't have names for yet. Every sister walk got a little slower after tasting four, especially after trying three types of local rum cream.

To the reason we really came to San Pedro that weekend: the 19th Annual San Pedro Lobster Festival Block Party at Saca Chispas. Live music, a dance floor that didn't quit, the whole town out. We ate. We danced. We laughed. We appreciated local music.

A time was had!
