Help Our Special Olympics Equestrian Athletes Ride Toward Success! πŸ…πŸ‡

Our equestrian program serves 10–12 athletes from Alamance and Guilford Counties, providing opportunities to build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills through horseback riding.

The cost for a 13-session training season is $1,750 per athlete, plus competition expenses. We are working to raise funds so that every athlete has the opportunity to participate, regardless of their financial situation.

Every donation helps cover training, horse and facility fees, equipment, and competition costs.

- Course etiquette and basic golf fundamentals

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Mackenzie Barrier at [email protected] or 336-570-6760

Alamance Parks is excited to announce the launch of an update to our Comprehensive Master Plan. This planning process will help us identify current needs, anticipate future growth, and establish priorities for the county department for the next 5-10 years. Community input will play a critical role in ensuring the plan reflects the values, interests, and vision of Alamance County residents. We encourage all residents to participate and share their ideas to help us continue to grow a parks system that serves everyone. For more information visit alamanceparksplan.us

We will also offer ongoing opportunities to provide in-person input at our administrative offices Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm through Friday June 12th. The office is located at 3916 R. Dean Coleman Road Burlington, NC 27215. (Big white house at the back of Cedarock Park)
