The Akron Emergency Overnight Warming Center (111 E. Voris St, Akron) is open through the evening of Friday, January 23.

Residents in need can take METRO bus routes #13 or #15 to the bus stop across from the Main Post Office on Wolf Ledges Pkwy.

If you are interested in volunteering at the shelter, you can find more information at: https://www.akronemergencyshelter.org/volunteer—donate.html

No experience is necessary to volunteer. On-site training is provided. Evening crew shifts are from 6:360pm-9:00pm; morning crew shifts are from 6:30am-8:30am.

OpenM is hiring a Part-Time Dental Assistant!

Their nonprofit, free and charitable health care clinic is looking for a Dental Assistant to join the team.

Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and supporting patients
- Preparing exam rooms and assisting during procedures
- Instrument setup and sterilization
- Supporting daily dental clinic operations

Position details:
- Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
- Pay range: $17–$23 per hour
- Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience required
