http://www.alittlebirdie.org/ is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping people in their time of need. We are both a local charity who helps people in need in Akron and Canton Ohio and a Crowd Funding site that allows friends and families to support their loved ones in their time of need. Deuteronomy 15:7-8 says: "If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your

towns in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks." James 1:27 says: "This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."

**There are so many people hurting in this world. Emotionally, financially, and spiritually. This is just a small part we can play as God's children to try and fill the needs of those people. My husband, our 6 children and I have been serving the people in our lives by keeping our ears open and listening when we hear of a need. Sometimes it's a bag of groceries, a babysitter for the day, a tank of gas, a friendly card with an encouraging note in it, or maybe a leaking faucet needs fixed. I think you get the idea. We have been incredibly blessed being a part of something "bigger" in God's plan for our lives.**

Woke up extra early today because my husband and I are feeling overwhelmed with life and our "to-do" lists are overflowing. This was on my list today, to mail 5 packages and a check over $2,000 to people feeling more overwhelmed in life than me. It's so easy to get caught up in life, but I'm choosing to have a better attitude today :)
