We are doing things a little different with our backpack blessing this year. We want to make sure the moms and kiddos who are an active part of Moms On Target don’t miss out on this support so priority will be given to those families who actively attend our programming and/or attend SBC who is partnering with us again this year to provide as many backpacks as possible!

You may share the image with friends or family in need! We will aim to help as many families as possible!

Special note: homeschool families are eligible for supplies as well!

Thanks to incredible generosity we have all of the school supplies needed to fill 100 backpacks! We are still in need of the actual bags.

We have updated our Target wishlist to include the bags we need and they’re only $5 each!

Thanks to a grant applied for and awarded to a Foresters Financial member and friend of Moms On Target, we have ALL of the school supplies needed to fill 100 backpacks on the way!

Now we just need the backpacks to put them in!! We are collecting new backpacks, both regular and clear and we have many drop off options!

We desperately need a few additional, reliable, childcare volunteers for the summer session of our Gospel Mama Meet Up which begins NEXT WEDNESDAY and runs weekly from 10a-11:30a for 8 consecutive weeks. This is hosted at Springfield Baptist Church on Krumroy Rd in Akron.

References and background check required.

Please label all personal items. No cell phones or electronics allowed (for kids.) Kids are welcome to bring scooters, skates, toys or games. We have extras on site to share!

This is a great opportunity for moms to connect and kiddos to socialize in an safe and easy to supervise setting!

Registration is now open for our Summer Session of Gospel Mama Meet Up!

Join other moms, all in varying seasons of their faith journeys to explore the Bible. Ask hard questions in a safe space, read the word for yourself among friends and discuss how we can apply it to our lives. Whether you're a long-time believer or not even sure any of this is real, we want you here and we believe that God will meet you here as well.

Childcare is available but space is limited. Please carefully consider your commitment to attending consistently before taking childcare spaces.

To request a space in childcare please send an email to [email protected] with the names and ages of children and we will fill them first come first serve and then create a wait list. You will be notified about whether you have a space or not.

Moms who do not need childcare are welcome to drop in to the study anytime and nursing or young infants are always welcome to stay with mom!

That’s a WRAP on our Spring Session of Gospel Mama Meet Up. We dug so deep and had such great conversations that we only made it halfway through the gospel of John in our eight weeks together!!

So, Summer session Gospel Mama will be The Gospel of John Part II

(No prior reading required but of course it is encouraged!)

Summer session will kick off Wednesday, July 1st and meet from 10-11:30am with childcare available to those who need it.
