Several members of the Polaris Society recently met for a reception and a tour of the newly opened Hosmer Visitor Center. The Association & Foundation thanked attendees for including the United States Air Force Academy in their estate plans or other legacy giving, which is the only requirement to be a member of the Polaris Society.

Tad Vannaman '94, director of gift planning, told those gathered that a legacy gift is a statement of values. "It is a declaration that the Academy mattered enough in your life that you want to help sustain it for others long after you are gone. I find that incredibly inspiring!"

At its 63rd reunion last week, the Class of 1963 paid tribute to classmates who've passed away.

๐Ÿฅ‚ The class held its cup-turning ceremony at Hotel Polaris, where they offered a toast as they turned each deceased classmate's cup upside down.

๐Ÿซก The class also held a luncheon and check-presentation ceremony. For each classmate who died since the last reunion, the class contributed $100 to support future generations of cadets. This year, the class honored 38 classmates and presented a $3,800 gift to the Superintendent's Fund.

These traditions honor those who came before and invest in those who will follow, reflecting the Long Blue Line's enduring legacy.
