Big night for the boys! Playing as a team, passing, and hustle results in positive outcomes.

Now on to game #2 of the tournament.

What a weekend. I don’t think I have the space here to fully describe all of the events of this tournament. But I will say that I’m proud of the boys for taking 3rd place against some highly ranked teams. They played great and reminded me that this is a great game and the importance of being on a team.

All I can say is that I’m very proud of these boys.

What a game, zero penalties, scored on 3 of 4 power plays, lots of passing, and endless hustle.

Now on to game 2 of the playoffs.

Today’s the day we’ve worked so hard for, the Blue Note Cup Starts. This hockey family (and I mean everyone, the players, parents, siblings, supporters, etc) have been on a rollercoaster this season. Yet, through it all we stuck together, learned, laughed, cried, and improved.

What a game! Everyone played great and did their part. This was the best all around game these boys’ have played all season. I’m very proud of all their hard work.

Your favorite hockey team is back on the ice tonight against Webster. Come to the rink and cheer on Affton! Game time 8:45 at Brentwood.

What a great effort by the boys. This teams never gives up. They battled back and tied the game with :28 seconds remaining.

This team gets along so well they can’t even let a teammate spend time in the penalty box alone! 🤦‍♂️

Your favorite hockey team is back in action tonight against the Little Rock Aces. The boys are going to lace them up for what will certainly be the game of the year so far. Order your drink, put on your knit hat, and cheer the boys on.

Some of the best times during the hockey season are those we spend together off the ice.

The Bantam 14U Christmas party and gift exchange was a blast. The common theme among gifts was junk food and soda.

The boys needed that sugar rush to play in the family/kids game right after the party. The parents showed they have some gas left in the tank and the boys were extra motivated to beat their parents/uncles/cousins/siblings.

A good time was had by all and I’m happy to report that no one needed the services of EMS.

This is what happens when you play like a team. We had a short bench but everyone hustled, made plays, and showed grit.

I’m proud of how these boys played. They deserved it today.
