Lenawee Toys for Tots hosted its first Christmas in July Fishing Program today.

Our day started with kids from Genacross Services and Clients from The HOPE Community Center fishing at the Spring Valley Trout Farm. All participants caught at least two fish each. For many this was the first time they had ever gone fishing.

We then came back to Adrian and The Brick Wall Pub & Grill fried up our fish and gave us an amazing meal!!! Thanks to all involved in this program. Lenawee Youth Council through the Lenawee Community Foundation thank you supporting our program today.

Thanks to our volunteers Joe, Bill and Bob for being the official worm installers and ho**er removers for some of the kids and clients. All participants also got Toys for Tots swag today as well.

At Toys for Tots, we know play is serious business—it helps children build confidence, forge friendships, and discover what they're capable of.

This week, make it a priority to get outside, share a laugh, and play catch! And while you’re at it, toss a little kindness around too! 💛

Our Toys for Tots Foster Care Program provides age-appropriate toys, books, educational resources, backpacks, and other essential items that promote hope, instill emotional comfort, and encourage healing during a time of transition.

Lenawee County Toys for Tots is proud to launch a new community outreach program to help children all year long. We have a limited supply of toys that we are able to use to help in response to home fires.
