PIE 5 S's Community

PIE 5 S's Community I love watching them support one another on social media as they lookout for one another & cheer each other on.

"Consulting with organizations serving BIPOC populations, providing workforce development, mentoring, workshops, and spiritual healing retreats to help people of color disconnect from outside influences and reconnect with their spiritual path." I am so favored to have been walking with young women for decades, watching them transition through womanhood from high school graduations, to weddings and

babies, babies, babies LOL! As a result of joining one of my programs for the past 12 years young women of color from all walks of life, both nationally & internationally have become friends and have built everlasting bonds. Some have become published authors, others built websites, prayer journals, and accomplished weight loss goals using my 90-day accountability journal No More False Starts. My transitioning with the ladies has allowed me to assist them in areas of public speaking, board development & attending and speaking at community board meetings, and conferences. A few have since started their own companies, or are excelling in their respective fields of Medical Billing, Coding & Social Work.

Tonight’s conversation is deeply personal for me because PIE was not built from theory — it was built from lived experience.

For the last 17 years, I have traveled around this country immersing myself into communities, listening to women, observing programs, studying outcomes, and hearing directly from young women who survived trauma but still felt unseen.

I met women who had gone through every structured system imaginable, but no one was speaking to the greatness inside of them.

How Black and Brown Women Rise When We Build Together
For too long, many of us have been taught to compete for limited seats at tables we did not build.

But what happens when we stop fighting over crumbs and begin building our own table?

What happens when visionary women come together to create infrastructure, systems, and businesses that produce real wealth, healing, and impact?

That is exactly what PIE is here to do.

Dear Community,

The Massachusetts Women of Color Network (MAWOCN) is thrilled to announce our 9th Annual Conference: Survival Is a Group Project, taking place on May 14–15, 2026 at Springfield College.

In a moment where war, violence, and uncertainty are felt both globally and within our own communities, and where many of us are navigating exhaustion, instability, and stretched resources, this year’s conference begins with a truth held across generations: we have always survived together.

Inspired by the legacy of rent parties and other mutual-aid traditions, this gathering will bring together advocates, leaders, and community members to learn, practice, and experience collective survival in real time, through workshops on healing, joy, self-defense, storytelling, cultural grounding, and building sustainable resources for our communities.

We are intentionally creating a space for:

Cis women of color

Trans women of color

Non-binary people of color
who feel comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women of color.

Throughout the two days, attendees will experience:

A powerful keynote on healing and resilience

Interactive breakout sessions on joy, self-defense, storytelling, and sustainability

Opportunities for connection, reflection, and community care

Recognition of our 2026 Leadership & Legacy Honoree, Carmen Nieves

We would be honored to have you in this space.

I apologize that my show did not air properly last night. Here is a brief overview of what I covered. What is PIE? How can we partner? Take a look, and I look forward to speaking with those who are ready to partner with an organization that is truly created from the heart of the community it serves.

Here is a short replay of the hour-long show on March 30, 2026Unfortunately, our internet is very unstable in Jamaica. However, I wanted to share this overvi...
