Grandmother Fights to Give Two Young Mothers a Safe Place to Call Home

This holiday season, a local grandmother is facing one of the hardest challenges of her life: finding a safe place for her 20-year-old daughter and her best friend, both of whom are expecting babies, after leaving abusive situations.

Angela Tattershall’s daughter recently discovered that the father of her child had cheated on her, leaving both women pregnant at the same time. Despite the betrayal and heartbreak, the two young women made an extraordinary choice—they decided to stand together, support each other, and raise their babies side by side.

“I’m so proud of them,” Angela says. “They could have let this destroy them, but instead, they chose strength and unity. They’re determined to create a safe, loving environment for their children, no matter what.”

Angela already cares for two other children, including a 16-year-old and a special-needs toddler. Despite working tirelessly to provide for her family, she simply does not have the space or resources to give her daughter and her friend the stability they need.

In a bid to help them stand on their own feet, Angela has enrolled both girls in online certification programs, hoping to give them skills for the future. But there’s an urgent, immediate need: a safe, livable space for the young mothers and their babies. After searching everywhere, Angela found that a modest, safe RV—priced around $5,000—would give them a stable home.

“This is a family that has already endured so much,” Angela says. “We’re not asking for luxury, just safety and hope. If we can get this RV, it will give them a chance to build the life they deserve, together.”

Angela has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the cost of the RV and asks anyone who can contribute—even a small donation—to help make this holiday season a little brighter for these young mothers and their babies.

Family in need of an Elf #8

I am a single mom who has just had surgery and am currently out of work for about 6-12 weeks. My babies are 6 and 1 1/2. They love all things girly and are not picky. The six year old loves Minecraft and hello kitty. And the 1 1/2 year old loves anything that is colorful and makes noise. I'd be really grateful for any help as I just came out of surgery yesterday afternoon and am having to take care of my kids myself. It's HARD. But I love my girls and would do literally anything for them. The oldest is in a size L (10-12) and the youngest is in sizes 18-24 months. Thank you and God bless! I'll do an Amazon wishlist and have the name given soon ❤️

Family in need of an Elf #7

Hoping for help--Mom of 3 ❤️💚❤️

Hi! It's humbling to ask for help and it's not something I take lightly, but I would really appreciate help this year. I live in Cobb County have 3 awesome kiddos: Girl (13), Girl (12) & Boy (5)

Our family has gone through a lot of changes this year, and I am doing my best to shelter the kids. My girls have been awesome, always helping me take care of their rambunctious little brother 😊 And even though time are tight for us, they still have a spirit of giving during this season, helping with other charity projects and volunteering to help make gift baskets for other teen girls. I would love for them to have a few special gifts this Christmas, but we simply don't have the funds this year. I have been blessed to find part-time work with my youngest in part-time preschool, but we are still trying to make ends meet every month.

I know a lot of families are struggling, so its really a blessing to have generosity and help in our community during this season.

Friends and family please share our page far and wide! ⛄️

Adopt A Family for Christmas is all about stepping in where life has hit a little too hard, wrapping struggling families in some holiday light, and making sure no kid wakes up to an empty tree. It connects people who want to help with parents who are doing their best but can’t stretch their budget any further. Every “adopted” family gets a personalized wish list, and donors can choose items to buy so the gifts go exactly where they’re needed. It’s community, compassion, and Christmas magic—without the red tape or judgement—just real people helping real families have the kind of holiday every child deserves.

Angela Tattershall's Adopt A Family program brings holiday joy to kids in need across local counties.

Family in Need of an Elf #6

Thank you so much! I really appreciate any help. I have a amazon wishlist made and kinda picked bulk gifts that would work for either daughter or son to make it cheaper and easier for someone. Hope that was helpful.

I have an autoimmune disease that has been untreated for about 1.5 years due to no insurance and my previous GI specialist decided since I couldn't afford his tests he would dismiss me. I've been hospitalized twice in the last two months and just now getting back on meds, my youngest daughter moved back home after a bad relationship, as well as my son was his by a truck at work a few months back and he moved back in. He just started working again so all of that has put us in a financial bind as my partner is the only one working currently to pay the big bills.
I dont need anything fancy just some of the basics, clothes, hygiene etc.

First daughter: loves sunflowers , dungeons and dragons things, fallout , and is studying graphics design. 2xl or 3xl shirts And 2xl leggings. Loves to read!

Son: very minimalist as he is developmentally delayed but loves working on the lawn, loves gaming, clothes 3xl shirts, black work socks ( long ones) , needs a new lunch box for work, only asked for a wallet and knife. But would be happy with anything.

Second daughter:
Loves horses, drawing and coloring. She wants to work with animals eventually. Loves to read! Xl shirts and leggings.

Second son:
Aspiring mechanic, loves dungeons and dragons, fallout.

My partner: he could really use some work boots. He works so hard for our family.

The kids will be happy with anything , they are older so the basics are greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for taking my family in consideration.

all my Parents!

How to Create an Amazon Wishlist That Multiple People Can Purchase From
(For Adopt A Family For Christmas)
1. Go to Amazon and sign into your account.
2. Look at the top right corner of the page and hover over “Account & Lists.”
Click on “Create a List.”
3. When the box pops up, choose “Wishlist.”
Name it something like “Adopt A Family Christmas – [Family Name or Year]” and hit Create List.
4. Open the list you just created. On the right side, click “More” or “Manage List.”
5. Under “Privacy,” change the setting to Public or Shared.
• Public = Anyone with the link can open and buy from it.
• Shared = Only people with the link can see it.
6. In that same settings area, scroll down and make sure your shipping address is correct.
You can choose your address OR select “Don’t spoil my surprises” to hide what people bought.
7. Start adding items.
When you find something on Amazon you want, click “Add to List” and select the wishlist you created.
8. When you’re ready to share it, open your wishlist and click “Send List to Others.”
Copy the link and give it to anyone who wants to help.
9. When someone buys an item, it disappears from the list so multiple people won’t buy the same thing.

This should be the best solution for the way we do things. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Once again this is for Cherokee, Cobb and Paulding county Georgia residents only. Thank you all and have a wonderful Thanksgiving Week!!

We have local families in need this year for Christmas. We are in need of just a few Elves to help make this Christmas possible for these kids! I will post each of their stories with a corresponding number. They will include an Amazon or Walmart wishlist they can send you. You can choose to meet up with and give gifts or have items shipped straight from their wishlist. It’s all up to you! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you all and have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

As many of you have seen, I started a Christmas program this year that was an absolute success. We helped over 250 kids have a Christmas this year between Cherokee, Paulding Cobb and Douglas, we did an amazing outreach with your help.
However, I’m just getting started! I am looking for a handful of dependable people who are already boots on the ground with the homeless in your area or people who have it in their hearts to volunteer, to please reach out to me.
We are in the beginning stages of creating a new community outreach for each local county named above. I am starting a program of assigning each homeless person a card with a number and QR code that will coincide with a webpage designed to put these people out there to tell their story and state their needs. Each person will have an individual wishlist for all you generous individuals to be able to help in small ways.
A lot of us are homebound but still want to help. A lot of us can’t afford to buy in large quantities to feel like donating is worth it. This way you will be able to do exactly what we did with my Christmas program. You will be able to connect, to learn their stories and to see not everyone needing help is a drug addicted alcoholic who chose this life. We can and we will make a difference, not just on holidays. Everyday. If our local politicians won’t help our homeless and our unhoused vets, then it’s up to us to do what we can.
Please, if you are already involved with a group and have access to pass out business cards and help sign up individuals willing to participate, please reach out. I’m hoping to start this asap as this weather is deadly to those on the streets.
Help me help them! Thank you.

Last minute request for an 8 and 10 year old boys. We got one bike and a new basketball but no basketball hoop. Maybe someone has a basketball hoop they can donate or would like to contribute to one purchased to finish up this family’s wishlist? Or a bike for an 8 year old boy instead would work too! Anything helps guys and thanks so much!
