One year ago today, our world changed forever. Jared left us far too soon and not a single day has passed without the ache of his absence. As we navigate this first year without him, we’re reminded of a truth that feels especially real today:
“Where there is deep grief, there was great love.”

We feel that love every day in the memories, in the laughter he left behind, and in the stories we continue to share.

As we celebrate Jared’s first birthday in heaven today, we’re holding tight to the moments that show who he truly was. Joyful, kind, and full of love. His Aunt Sharon shared this sweet memory this morning, and we hope it touches your heart the way it did ours:

“Hey Sha Sha!” That was how he started every conversation with me, on the phone or in person. He always ended them with “I love you Sha Sha”. Right up to his last goodbye.

He left this world on November 24, 2024 at age 42. He had a massive heart attack; he had a massive heart. Like Dr. Seuss’ Grinch, Jared's heart grew larger with all the love he felt from the people in his life and he spread that love to everyone he touched.

His death, as tragic as it was, reminded us of the value of kindness. He found joy in being kind and he was kind to everyone he met.

I’ve often heard of people seeing coins or cardinals or other things in their day to day lives that remind them of a loved one who has passed. I told Jared I wanted dimes and of course he keeps sending them! They show up like a whispered “I love you Sha Sha” and each one makes me smile and think of him and how lucky I am to have been part of his life. When I find them I whisper back “Hey Jared”.

What I’ve come to discover is that sometimes dimes come in human form too. The stranger that smiles at you, the person ahead of you in line that buys your coffee, the friend that shows up when you are struggling.

So I’ll keep watching for dimes because I believe if I look for kindness, I’ll see Jared.

✨One Week Later - Our Hearts Are Full✨

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a week since our first annual Live Like Jared event. It was an incredible night filled with love, laughter and the unmistakable feeling that Jared was right there with us every step of the way.

We want to give a special thank you to all of the volunteers, sponsors and raffle donors. Your time and generosity truly brought this event to life.

To everyone who attended the event or simply donated, because of you, we raised over $28,000 far surpassing anything we could have imagined!!! Your contributions ensures that Jared’s impact continues to shine forward and we are just blown away. 🤍

As a result, we've already been able to help a local family in need, and we’re excited to announce our very first Live Like Jared Scholarship; a Kindness Award that will be given to an Abington High School student who embodies the same nature, compassion, and light that Jared shared with everyone he met.

This first event was just a glimpse of what’s ahead for the Live Like Jared Foundation and we can’t wait to keep growing, giving, and spreading kindness together. 🫶🏼

The Live Like Jared Foundation was created to honor the amazing life of Jared, a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and all-around light in this world. His energy, kindness, and love for life touched everyone he met, and this page is all about keeping that spirit alive.

Our mission is simple: to Live Like Jared. To be kind, give back, laugh often, and make a difference wherever we can. Through community events, fundraisers, and everyday acts of kindness, we’re working to spread the same positivity Jared shared with all of us.
