🐾🖤 The therapy department made our monthly rounds at Niswonger Children's Hospital and Johnson City Medical Center today—2½ hours of royal service.

Naturally, I performed my famous whisper. Rune performed his famous lean. I have trained extensively…He just leans…

We finished with a stop at 7 Brew Coffee , where the staff once again treated us with incredible kindness and hospitality. Only our second visit, and they already seem to understand the proper protocol for receiving royalty.

Royal duties complete, now the couch requires a queen. 🖤🐾

Meet Rune, our August Pet Therapy Dog of the Month! 🐾

Rune is a 1-year-old Great Dane with a gentle heart and goofy personality. At 120 pounds, he may be big, but his love for people is even bigger.

Rune and Adam began their pet therapy journey after seeing the incredible difference a calm, loving dog could make in someone’s day. They wanted to bring that same comfort to others and today, they visit hospitals, schools and assisted living communities.

At home, Rune loves anything he can carry around and share with his sister, Freya. His favorite is a good tug toy and when it comes to treats, he loves peanut butter.

Fun fact: Rune has one blue eye and one yellow eye. He also has a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out) and is determined to say hello to anyone nearby.
