Abilene Pipers

The Abilene Pipers were founded in February 2001 by Robert Partin. The Pipers perform at events such as local weddings, funerals, birthday parties, parades.

Each January, they host the annual Burns Supper to honor Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Music filled the room yesterday as the Abilene Pipers performed for the Los Aficionados luncheon at The Grace Museum. Great music, great crowd, and a fun afternoon celebrating the arts at such a great event.

Why do pipers wear kilts? Kilts honor Scottish heritage and display clan tartans tied to family history. They allow freedom of movement, keep pipers comfortable, and add to the visual impact of a performance.
