DRUMROLL PLEASE....CONGRATULATIONS TO YARIK & KOLYA!

We are proud to announce that Yarik and Kolya graduate from trade school where they succeeded in earning their auto mechanic diplomas!

It hasn’t been an easy ride for these guys...starting school in a new country, with a new language. There were numerous ups and downs but the boys worked hard. Where it was difficult for them- they put in effort, and made up for their weaknesses in other areas. They finished well academically, but even more so in the skills that they learned!

We are now looking for job opportunities for Yarik and a part time job for Kolya (due to his age). First thing’s first though - a good summer break!

This kid...Danik...is just one of our Rescue Shelter kids who is living his best life at camp this week! He and our other kids left on Sunday for an amazing week with other kids/teens learning about Jesus. And our house parents are blessed to have a week off while the kids are away.

Our Rescue Shelter kids leave for camp in a couple of days and we would appreciate YOUR help to cover camp fees!

We are excited that the kids will once again have the opportunity to go to a Christian youth camp and also a Family Bible camp, later in the summer, with members of the church in Zagreb! This has become a yearly event for our kids and it has been formative in both their personal lives and spiritual formation.

For our kids to attend these camps, we need to raise $450 per kiddo! The youth camp is $200 and the Family Bible Camp is $250. Would you be able to sponsor one of our kids to attend camp, or partially assist in them attending camp?

It's summer and that means it is church camp season!!

We are excited that our Rescue Shelter kids will once again have the opportunity to go to a Christian youth camp and also a Family Bible camp with members of the church in Zagreb! ANGELS CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE!

We are excited to share that last Sunday, Kolya was baptized! During worship, Steve Taliaferro, missionary in Zagreb and close Jeremiah's Hope friend to all of our kids and staff, took Kolya's confession of faith and baptized him.

We waited a few days to share the exciting news because we wanted to show pictures of Kolya's baptism. We think that the smile on his face, in the picture after he was baptized, says it all...pure joy!

DANIK WINS GOLD IS SCHOOL COMPETITION...

Recently, Danik, our youngest kiddo in the Rescue Shelter, had a sports competition at school. As part of the competition, each of the kids in Danik's class had to decorate a white t-shirt.

Danik was excited and he got lots of help from Darina, another of our Rescue Shelter kids and Danik's personal graphic designer, at home. He proudly went to school for the competition wearing his shirt.

Danik had a great time competing. And his class won the gold.

YURA PREPARES FOR CULINARY SCHOOL GRADUATION...

In preparation for his upcoming graduation from Culinary School, Yura has to prepare a dish to present at his school in a few weeks. Our house mom, Mateja, has taught Yura to make Zucchini patties.

Yura is headed towards the finish line with school and should be graduating from Culinary School in a few weeks. Yura, who has had to work hard to overcome learning disabilities, has managed to keep his grades at a pretty good level this year and he is excited to finally be done with school. He will have the summer off, and after he receives his diploma, we are hoping to find him some kind of a part time job.

CELEBRATING DARINA'S BIRTHDAY!

Darina came to our Rescue Shelter when she was only 5 or 6 years old. It has been a blessing watching this little girl grow and now enter into her teenage years. It is hard to believe Darina is now 13 years old!

It has been a blessing to watch Darina grow up in many areas of her life. She takes her responsibilities pretty seriously- she shows motivation more than most of our kids. She likes to be of help, and when she helps - be that cooking or cleaning or anything else - she does an amazing job.

For her Birthday party she invited a few of her girlfriends from school. They played games in the yard and spent time around the table eating cake and celebrating Darina. What a blessing to see her flourishing and living life filled with growing friendships!

Join us in praying for Darina and her upcoming year. Thank God for the amazing person he created. Ask God to bless Darina as she grows in knowledge and as she grows in her understanding and faith in Him. Ask God to continue walking alongside Darina and guiding her as she journeys through life.

21 meals costs Jeremiah's Hope, on average, about $420 a week.
