Today we want to show support to anyone who has experienced grief or is currently. Grief can feel very lonely because it’s a unique experience to everyone, but know you truly are never alone.

As long as we continue to speak the names of our loved ones who have left us to soon, they never truly die.

If you’re missing someone today, share their name or a picture of them below and know we stand with you in the grief community. 😇

Wishing everyone a safe and happy snow day here in MD! ❄️☃️

Juan didn’t like the cold, but he sure did love to go sledding! If you’re out there braving the cold today we would love to see your pictures! 📸

Our Juan is with us in everything we do! ❤️

Today we want to take a moment to celebrate something really special 😇

Congratulations to Luca on making his first basket in basketball! 🏀👏

Juan had a deep love for sports..not just the game itself, but the lessons that came with it: teamwork, confidence, resilience, and heart. ♥️

Seeing Luca follow right in his footsteps reminds us that Juan’s spirit, passion, and love live on through him everyday. We know his daddy would be so very proud of him!

Keep going, buddy. This is only the beginning. 😎

One of our favorite Juan stories that still make us laugh🤍

When Juan was about 2–3 years old, we were at a Burger King getting ready to leave. There was a woman standing in line waiting to order, minding her own business, when Juan decided it was his time to shine..

He casually walked up, smacked her butt, and when she turned around in shock… he winked at her and said, “Mamacitá!” 😂

We were mortified (thank god he was so cute). She burst out laughing. & honestly? That was our Juan; confident, charming, fearless, and always making people smile, even from a very young age.

That spark, his orneriness, that larger-than-life personality stayed with him forever & it’s one of the many reasons his memory continues to bring laughter along with the love.

After Juan made his entrance into the world, it didn’t take long for his personality to show, even as a toddler. 😊

He had the most beautiful big brown eyes and long lashes that people would always comment on. 🤎

There was a natural charm to him, something that drew people in without him even trying. Juan loved attention, but more than that, he loved making people laugh. Even at a young age, boy did he know how to work a room! He was expressive, curious, and already so full of life.

He had a way of connecting with people that felt effortless; a smile, a look, a little joke that made everyone around him feel lighter. He truly loved to make people laugh, it brought his heart so much joy. Looking back now, it’s easy to see that so much of who Juan became was already there in those early years.

His charm ▪️His humor ▪️ His ability to bring people together ❤️

As we continue sharing Juan’s story, we hope you’re getting to know him not just as a name, but as the little boy who grew into the man behind this mission and why we love him so much!

▪️A little about our Juannie ▪️

He was born on a warm summer day, June 5th, 1999, in Baltimore, Maryland, at Franklin Square hospital to parents Juan Soriano and Kimberly Soriano (Amodeo). He was due to be born at the end of May, but decided he wanted to cook a little longer, I guess you could say he was rather comfy inside his mom’s belly. The day before his debut was a rather hot day that year, and his mom had spent most of the afternoon walking around his older sister, Chelcee’s school field day. When she had finally showered and sat down to relax for the evening with Juans dad, her water then broke! She was in labor most of the evening until Juan made his arrival the next morning. 😇

Fun fact(s)

▪️Juans name was actually set to be Michael until the delievery room where his father, also named Juan insisted he be named after him. He is not a jr. though as they have different middle names.❤️

▪️Juan’s son is also named after him; his name is Juan Luca, but goes by his middle name. ❤️

▪️June 5th is not only Juans birthday, but Luca’s as well. ❤️

Before this nonprofit ever existed, there was Juan; a father, a son, a brother, a friend, and someone who showed up for people in ways that didn’t always get noticed.

Juan had a way of making others feel seen. He gave without expecting recognition, helped even when he didn’t have much himself, and believed that kindness mattered..especially when no one was watching.

This nonprofit exists because those values deserve to live on! Not just in memory, but in action.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing more about who Juan was, what he cared about, and why this mission would mean so much to him.

If you knew Juan, please tell us one word that describes him & If you didn’t, stick around because we’d love for you to get to know him. ❤️

As we go into another year we want to remind all of our supporters that this nonprofit was created in loving memory of our beloved Juan.

Everything we do is rooted in honoring his life, his heart, and the impact he continues to have on others.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more consistently; updates, stories, and upcoming events that allow us to come together as a community and continue Juan’s legacy in a meaningful way.

We want to thank you for being here, for remembering Juan with us, and for supporting this work. We’re grateful for EVERY single one of you.

More to come—very soon 💙
