Easton Castle/O-TE-LA Conservancy Easton's Castle. A Queen Ann Victorian Built in 1889. Named O-te-la. Inspiration for Oz. Built in 1888 by C.A.

Catherine Lynn, Curator of Wallpapers, Smithsonian Institute, describes Easton's Castle as "An ambitious house in Aberdeen, SD." Bliss, pioneer, merchant, farmer and Shorthorn Breeder, the victorian estate was lost to C.F Easton, Savings and Loan President, in 1893. It was bricked over in 1904 by Russell Eason and saved from demolition in 1967 by Dr. Sam and Jacintha Holman.
