Easton Castle/O-TE-LA Conservancy Easton's Castle. A Queen Ann Victorian Built in 1889. Named O-te-la. Inspiration for Oz. Built in 1888 by C.A.

Catherine Lynn, Curator of Wallpapers, Smithsonian Institute, describes Easton's Castle as "An ambitious house in Aberdeen, SD." Bliss, pioneer, merchant, farmer and Shorthorn Breeder, the victorian estate was lost to C.F Easton, Savings and Loan President, in 1893. It was bricked over in 1904 by Russell Eason and saved from demolition in 1967 by Dr. Sam and Jacintha Holman.

It’s not just the passing it’s the fact that it eliminates all the immunity built up from birth, the infections and secondary infections, the blindness and deafness that can be caused by it as well as the pan encephalitis that can reappear within and up to 10 years after the initial measles infection! Ever since we opened the campground Tom has taken in the homeless of Aberdeen. This is the temporary Green Acres. TIL now Tom, also a veteran, has always volunteered his services to those who can't pay. Now we have the backing of four local homeless coalitions. Thank you so much for helping Tom.
