Laila’s Gift is proud to host our 2nd Annual Sunflower Planting on June 26, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Edgeley Grove Park in Fallston, Maryland!

As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion, awareness, and community beautification, Laila’s Gift has proudly adopted Edgeley Grove Park and will once again bring families, advocates, children, and community members together to hand plant sunflower seeds in celebration of individuals with visible and non-visible disabilities.

This event is not only about inclusion, but also about giving back to our environment and creating spaces that bloom with purpose, beauty, and belonging for everyone in our community.

The sunflower is recognized around the world as the symbol for hidden disabilities. Sunflowers remind us that even when challenges are not immediately seen, every individual deserves understanding, compassion, dignity, and support.

They also symbolize resilience, growth, and the importance of seeking light while uplifting one another through life’s darker moments.

At Laila’s Gift, we proudly refer to our community as “Sunflower Families” because we believe every family deserves the opportunity to bloom, feel supported, and be seen.
