We are a non-profit organization committed to helping girls change their lives. Gracia partners with Casa Hogar, a home for 110 abused, orphaned and indigent girls in Jalapa, Guatemala. Under its umbrella, Gracia houses its Gracia Entrepreneur Training Program (G.E.T.), and the Milagros Workshop. curriculum delivers business skills training, and the girls earn income through sale of Milagros produ

cts. Combined, they provide a platform that develops entrepreneur and leadership skills, market access, and importantly, jobs for a community that lacks consistent support from its government, diocese or other NGO’s. We’re honored to spotlight Jocelyn, an inspiring young woman and beloved member of the developmentally delayed community at La Casa Hogar.

With the support of her “godmother” Yasmin, a Mujer Fuerte and full-time employee in the Milagros Workroom at Gracia Inc., Jocelyn has found purpose and pride through her role assisting the artisans at Milagros. Yasmin shares a glimpse into Jocelyn’s journey: one of growing independence, behavioral change, and newfound self-confidence.

In rural Guatemala, where resources are limited, opportunities are scarce, especially for women and even more so for those who are developmentally delayed. Jocelyn reminds us why Gracia’s mission matters.
