We had a good discussion with schools and zone 4 main community leaders about the NetWise: Be Safe. Be Smart. Be Online in Bidibidi.
We looked at internet access and safety at Nipata SS, Valley View SS, and Abirimajo Community Hub.
NetWise is not just giving access and training, but changing life saver and transformer in the lifes of young people.

May this season renew our strength and inspire us to keep building a better future together.

Wishing you a peaceful and hopeful Easter.

Our Finance and Administrative Assistant has just completed a 3-day Gender in Humanitarian Action (GiHA) training (24th–26th March 2026). This knowledge is meaningful because it strengthens how we serve our own people.
With improved skills in gender inclusion and responsive programming, we are better equipped to design and deliver support that truly reflects the needs of women, men, girls, and boys in our community.

We’re wrapping up our online safety and digital security sessions for young people in Bidibidi, both in and out of school.
We’ve also selected new Digital Champions who will help others become responsible and confident internet users. This is our way of making sure knowledge reaches those who didn’t get the chance to join the sessions—because peer learning helps sustain the project and spread the skills further.

Today, YFTC stood alongside partners, youth leaders, and community advocates at the official launch of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
We raise our voices to reaffirm a simple but urgent truth:
🟣 GBV must end in our homes, our schools, our workplaces, and our communities.
As we step into these 16 days, we call for:
Protection and justice for all survivors
Accountability for perpetrators
Investment in prevention, education, and community support
Empowering young people to become champions of equality and safety
Gender-Based Violence is not inevitable. Together, we can end it.
Let’s turn awareness into action and action into lasting change.

The journey doesn’t end here.
As more young people in Bidibidi go online for the first time, the demand for NetWise keeps growing. Communities, schools, and youth groups are requesting extensions of the program and with your support, expanding this impact is truly possible.
Together, we can reach more zones, empower more learners, and build a safer digital future for Bidibidi and beyond. www.yftcuganda.org
