Our mission is to ensure that residents of Busabala have access to quality, affordable medical care in their local area. We aim to foster the social and economic development of the Busabala community and are committed to empowerment and sustainability, with
a special focus on the marginalized and disadvantaged. We are currently constructing two two projects, that aims to provide Busabala village and the surrounding communities with the tools and services to create a healthier and brighter future. Our hospital will provide a variety of health services and treatments. Our services will be available to everyone irrespective of financial status to ensure we can build a healthy, educated and harmonious village. Areas of treatment will include;
Emergency care;
HIV testing and treatment;
Reproductive health & family planning;
Youth health;
Family planning;
Obstetric and Gynecological services;
Paediatric care;
Minor surgeries;
Counselling services;
Immunisations;
Outreach services; and
General health services. Furthermore, VOHAH will offer a variety of education services that will be available to the community via Busabala Hospital. We will regularly run education programs in the following areas:
Education in HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. Particularly focusing on youth awareness and prevention of such diseases;
Education in family planning options and benefits;
Basic nutritional education;
Education in first aid and injury prevention;
Basic hand washing and hygiene care; and
Awareness about prevalent non communicable diseases.
