ARAMANTHAN MATOVU
Birthday: May 14, 2013

Born into a humble family with limited resources, his childhood has been defined by the daily struggles of survival. His family, though not impoverished to the point of him being an orphan, has always had to scrape by. His father, a fisherman, depends on the river for their livelihood, and at the age of 7, he started fishing alongside his father, casting nets into the flowing waters. At first, he thought this was his future. With his hands submerged in the water and his heart weighed down by responsibility, he had little interest in school. The idea of education seemed distant and impractical to him when fishing felt like the only way to help his family survive. He was already working long hours and wasn’t sure how learning could change his reality.

Director Kayaa Yonah from His Grace Organization spotted his potential and recognized that the boy’s sharp mind and determination could be nurtured through education. After speaking with him, Director Kayaa convinced him to reconsider the power of learning and the opportunities it could bring. He with some hesitation, agreed to give school a chance. He enrolled in Primary 4 in 2025 at Kitezi HisGrace Nursery & Primary School, a local school that provides a nurturing environment for children who, like him, come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Despite his initial doubts, he quickly began to grasp the importance of education. He was a diligent student, eager to learn and determined to catch up with his peers. As he became more immersed in his studies, he realized that education could be the key to breaking the cycle of poverty he had known all his life. He began to dream—dream of a future beyond the fishing boats, a future where he could wear a suit and make decisions that would affect his community.

His new dream is to become a doctor. Inspired by the doctors he sees in hospitals treating the sick, he wants to one day wear a white coat and heal people in his community. He knows that becoming a doctor will require years of dedication, education, and support, but now he believes it is possible. In his free time, He loves to swim, boat race, dance and sing. Despite the challenges of his daily life, he finds joy in these activities. Though his education is partly funded by His Grace Organization, they are not able to cover all the costs. He still needs a sponsor who can support his school fees and meals, allowing him to focus fully on his studies.

ASHIMU MULIKA
Birthday: May 30, 2019

His mother has always tried her best to provide for him, but with limited resources, their lives have often been a struggle. In August 2024, their lives were further shaken by the devastating Kitezi rubbish dumping disaster. The disaster left many families, including his without homes. Forced to sleep on the streets, he and his mother were left with nowhere to turn, as they struggled to pay rent and find a place to stay. The streets became their harsh new reality, and every day was a fight to stay safe and find food.

Despite the harsh circumstances, He has not lost his optimism. His dream is to become a soldier—a protector of others, someone who can defend his country and community. He has always been fascinated by soldiers and their strength, bravery, and sense of duty. He wants to be part of something bigger, a way to give back and make his community proud. Though he is still very young, his dream of becoming a soldier is a beacon of hope in his life. He believes that education and hard work will help him one day serve his country. His mother, too, supports his dream, even as they both struggle to find stability and a brighter future.

He is currently being supported by His Grace Organization, which has provided him with a safe space to live and learn. Through the organization, he has the opportunity to attend Kitezi His Grace Nursery & Primary School, where he can receive the education he needs to build a better future. He is a bright and eager child, full of curiosity and excitement for the world ahead. Will you help him achieve his dream? Your support can make a life-changing difference for this young boy. By sponsoring his education, you help him break free from the struggles of the past and create a future where he can follow his dream of becoming a soldier,

CALVIN MIIRO
Birthday: September 18, 2013

He and his younger sister, Linette Namiiro have shared a difficult journey. Their father abandoned the family when they were young, leaving their mother to care for them. Struggling with limited resources, they lived in a small rented house, where food was scarce and rent was often unpaid. Eventually, their mother, overwhelmed by the challenges, decided to leave, leaving Calvin and Linette without any support. Their lives took a turn for the worse,

Social workers from the organization recognized their plight and took Calvin and Linette offering them a place at the His Grace Organization orphanage. This provided them with safety, food, and the opportunity to go to school. Now, he is enrolled in Kitezi His Grace Nursery & Primary School, where he is in Primary 6 Class. He is determined to pursue his dream of becoming an engineer. He has always been fascinated by how things work and enjoys solving problems. He sees education as the key to breaking free from the cycle of poverty that has held his family back for so long. Outside of school, he loves to sing and dance. He enjoys performing for his friends at the orphanage, and these hobbies give him a sense of joy and self-expression amidst the challenges he faces.

FATUMAH KAKAYI
Birthday: April 15, 2014

Her mother passed away when she was just 2 months old, leaving her to be raised by her father, who quickly remarried. Unfortunately, his new wives treated her with cruelty, making her feel like an outsider in her own home. When she was 10, her father arranged a marriage to an older man. Terrified and powerless, she felt her dreams of education slipping away under the weight of this forced marriage.

Everything changed when a social worker from His Grace Organization visited her village. She bravely shared her story, and with the help of the organization, she escaped the forced marriage and was enrolled in Kitezi His Grace Nursery & Primary School in Primary 4 in 2025. There, she found a safe place to grow. She became a responsible leader at school, helping care for the younger children and excelling in her studies. In her free time, She helps with domestic work at the orphanage, taking care of chores. She has learned to be responsible and hardworking, qualities that make her a role model for others at school. She now dreams of becoming a teacher to help other girls break free from forced marriages and pursue education. With the support of His Grace Organization, she has the chance at a brighter future, but she still needs help to continue her education. Will you help her secure her future? Your sponsorship will give Fatumah the opportunity to continue learning, escape the hardships of her past, and empower other girls like her.

JOHN MWEBE
Birthday: January 10, 2017

His life took a painful turn when his father passed away, leaving him and his mother to face the challenges of life without a breadwinner. He is the youngest of five children, and after his father’s death, the responsibility of providing for the family fell on his mother. With little income and no stable support, life became a daily struggle. His older siblings, who never had the chance to attend school, tried their best to help, but they too are caught in the cycle of poverty. Despite their efforts, the family often goes without enough to eat. At just 8 years old,he is already aware of the hardship around him.

Mwebe’s biggest dream is to become lawyer. He sees education as the key to escaping poverty and building a better future for himself and his family. Unlike his older siblings, who were unable to attend school due to the need to work and support the family, he is determined to receive an education and pursue his dreams. His ultimate ambition is to become a lawyer—someone who can fight for justice, not only for himself but for others in his community who face the same struggles.

He is currently living at the His Grace Organization orphanage, where he is supported with food, shelter, and an education. At the orphanage, he has the opportunity to go to school at Kitezi His Grace Nursery & Primary School, where he is now in Primary 2. The organization’s support has been life-changing for him giving him a safe space to learn and grow, free from the daily struggles he once faced. In his free time, Mwebe enjoys playing with other children at the orphanage, sharing his dreams with them of a brighter future.

Will you help him achieve his dream? Your sponsorship can change Mwebe’s life. By supporting his education, you are helping him break free from the cycle of poverty, giving him the chance to learn and grow, and enabling him to work towards his dream of becoming a lawyer.

GETU TIBIKOMA,
Birthday: January 2, 2011

Her mother after being abandoned by her husband, grew thin because of the stress. When she caught a serious case of malaria, she became anemic and eventually died. Her relatives did not even know about all this. They were only called to come and pick up the dead body from her rented home in Kaliro.

Her father was living with other women and did not even know whether Getu’s mother was dead or still alive. Her maternal grandmother took her in as a foster parent in the 2015 and admitted her to Ddembe Primary School in 2016 in Middle Class claiming that she was in Baby Class the previous year.

Her grandmother new about Christ Cares Organisation because she was a resident of area we were operating from. After hearing her grandmother’s story, Getu was added to our orphanage and she is in the orphanage until now. She has no patenal relatives, but maybe with time, they will come for her because people fear responsibility.

She is doing well but her grandmother is growing old everyday and still has other three children in addition to Getu that she is caring for but she is helped by her son who is a peasant. The situation is not good but Christ Cares Organisation cannot afford to care for the whole group. Only Getu is in Primary Three in the Ddembe Primary School and is being supplied with clothing, education and medical care. She is interested in skipping, playing with dolls, making dolls and balls from banana fibers. Her ambition is to become a nurse so she can treat her grandmother whenever she falls sick.
