Partnering for Impact in Kabarole District!
3FHi continues her retooling activity for Inter-Faith Religious leaders in Kabarole District to strengthen health outcomes through multi-sectoral and interfaith collaboration!
Key highlights from district leadership and stakeholders:
Interfaith Collaboration: leadership, including the Assistant CAO, commended 3FHi for equipping interfaith champions who deliver critical health and social messages directly to women, adolescents, and local communities.
Integrated Health Services: The District Health Officer (DHO) emphasized training health workers on long-term family planning, supporting Catholic natural family planning preferences, and prioritizing service integration across public and private facilities (including Fort Portal).
Addressing Key Community Challenges: Local leaders highlighted pressing issues including teenage pregnancy, early marriage, SGBV, HIV prevalence, defilement, and child-headed households driven by poverty. #
Holistic Solutions: Religious leaders are urged to share holistic guidance, while community members are encouraged to engage in government initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM) to tackle root causes of poverty.
Together with local leaders, health educators, and biostatisticians, we remain committed to building champion capacity and delivering integrated care! 🌿🏥✨
