Two of our young innovators, Hajara and Isaac, are on their way to Hyderabad, India 🇮🇳 to represent Uganda at the World Robot Olympiad Open Championship.

Their project, Wireless Power Heritage Protection, brings robotics and cultural heritage together.

Yesterday, 184 of our Girls in Tech students sat for their UVTAB assessment, a significant milestone in their journey.

They have put in the work, built their digital skills, and taken another important step towards certification.

As they await their results, we wish all 184 students the very best. The dedication they have shown throughout this journey is something to be proud of.

We thank MTN Uganda and MTN Foundation Uganda for their continued support in creating opportunities for girls and young women through the Girls in Tech programme.

Yesterday, we held our 5th Girls With Tools & Girls In Tech Graduation, celebrating 201 graduates who have completed their training and are ready to take their skills into new opportunities. 🎓

It was a day of proud moments, inspiring stories and a celebration of how far our graduates have come.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓

Two years ago, Kisakye Maxensia joined Smart Girls Uganda still figuring out which path to take. On 22 September, she graduates as a trained automotive mechanic.

We trained and mentored her, then secured her an internship at Shell Kitetika, where her passion and hard work opened the door to further training at Toyota Uganda.

Over the past two years, her journey has been one of determination, growth and opportunity.

Because menstrual health is not just about products. It is about knowledge, dignity, and informed choices.

Vocational education is not only about learning a trade. It gives young people practical skills, confidence and problem-solving abilities to pursue opportunities, earn a living and take greater control of their future.

That is why we train girls in automotive mechanics, solar installation, plumbing, metal fabrication and ICT. Not just to give them a skill, but to give them the foundation to build a future of their own. 💜

Talent exists everywhere. Opportunity does not.

For many young women, the barrier is not a lack of ability, it is limited access to technical training, mentorship, tools and pathways into work.

Expanding that access can change what is possible.
