During our menstrual health sessions, we create space for girls to share what they know, teach their peers, ask questions, and learn together.

Because learning is more powerful when every girl has a voice.

Every girl deserves to understand her body, stay in school, and dream without limits.

We recently visited Busowole Township Primary School in Butaleja for an interactive session with students on menstrual health, dignity, and staying in school.

We also distributed 20 Ecojua Smart Bags to 20 girls, providing practical menstrual health support to help them stay confident and focused on their education.

This is part of the Ecojua SmartBags Post Accelerator Project, supported by MAJI Fund, Siemens Stiftung, EA Foundation and Segal Family Foundation through the cewas Accelerator.

Breaking barriers. Building dreams.

Meet Natumbwe Joyce, one of our Automotive Mechanics graduates from the 2025 cohort.

Joining us from Masaka, Joyce pursued a field many told her was not for women. After completing her training and internship at Shell Uganda in Kitetika , her dedication and excellence earned her a full opportunity to continue working with the team.

We celebrate you, Joyce. Your story is proof that when young women are given access to quality skills training, there is absolutely no ceiling.

During our recent monitoring and evaluation visit to Nakisunga R/C Primary School in Mukono District, the Head Teacher shared how the Ecojua Smart Bags initiative has made a meaningful difference in the lives of learners.

She highlighted improved school attendance among beneficiaries and better menstrual health management, reinforcing the importance of providing girls with the support they need to stay in school and thrive.

Every story reminds us why we remain committed to empowering girls through sustainable, life-changing solutions.

Last week, we were delighted to host students from Vision For Africa International Christian College, Mukono, for an insightful learning visit at our campus.

The students had the opportunity to explore our programs, interact with our team, and witness firsthand the skills, innovation, and solutions we are building through our training programs. Our girls also had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and share their experiences across different areas of learning.

We believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. Through meaningful exchanges like these, we continue to inspire young people, share knowledge, and encourage collaboration that supports skills development and empowerment.

We appreciate Vision For Africa International Christian College for choosing to visit and learn with us, and we look forward to more opportunities to connect, inspire, and grow together.

Today, we joined partners and stakeholders for the official launch of the Clean SIP Campaign, kicking off the Mandela Day 2026 celebrations.

At Smart Girls Uganda, we believe that clean water, hygiene, and menstrual health go hand in hand in creating healthier and more empowered communities.

We look forward to joining the main activities this Saturday, 18th July, in Jinja as we continue making a difference together. 💧
