The struggle for justice has never been easy, but history continues to prove that even in the darkest moments, communities rooted in truth, solidarity, care, and resistance continue to rise.

This , protect your peace, protect your purpose, and protect one another. Rest when needed. Speak when necessary. Organize with courage. Heal without guilt. And never allow oppression to convince you that your advocacy is meaningless.

💬 Did you know?

Women living in Uganda’s urban informal settlements are among the hardest hit by flooding, poor drainage, and waste pollution. Every heavy rainfall threatens homes, health, safety, and livelihoods, yet the women most affected are still excluded from climate planning and urban decision-making.

Climate injustice is not just environmental. It is deeply unequal.

When women’s voices are ignored, communities remain vulnerable.

📢 Inclusive cities begin with inclusive climate decisions.

💬 Did you know?
in Uganda is limiting girls’ education and putting their safety at risk. Many students, especially in rural communities are forced to study in darkness or poorly lit spaces, making learning difficult and sometimes dangerous.

Without access to reliable and clean energy, girls struggle to complete schoolwork, perform well, and compete equally. This not only affects their education but also their confidence, opportunities, and future livelihoods.

Energy poverty is not just about electricity, it is about inequality, safety, and justice. When girls are denied safe learning environments, their potential is dimmed.

📢 Every girl deserves safe, reliable light to learn, grow, and thrive. Let’s advocate for energy access for all.

Ever thought about this; if this work stopped tomorrow, would our communities survive?

This Monday, we begin by recognizing the invisible labor that sustains life, unpaid work like fetching water, farming and caregiving, mostly carried by women in Uganda.

A new week begins, grounded in our realities and rising with purpose. From our communities to our climate, every choice we make shapes Uganda’s future.

This week, let’s act from where we are: plant a tree, protect our wetlands, speak up for justice, and uplift one another. Change starts in our homes, our villages, through our voices and languages.

Our power is local. Our impact is real.

Happy Friday 🌿
As we step into the weekend, may you find time to rest, recharge, and reconnect, with yourself, with loved ones, and with the things that ground you.

You’ve shown up, given your energy, and pushed through the week. Now allow yourself the space to breathe and restore.

Wishing you a peaceful, fulfilling, and gentle weekend ahead.

🌍Our Message

On this , we join the world in reflecting on a powerful truth: the future of our planet is not distant from us, it is shaped by the choices, voices, and collective action we take today.

The theme reminds us that power does not sit in institutions alone. It lives in communities, in women on the frontlines of climate justice, in young people demanding accountability, and in marginalized voices that have long carried both the burden of environmental crisis and the wisdom for healing it.

At Rights 4 Her Uganda, we affirm that climate justice is inseparable from gender justice and human rights. Environmental degradation, inequality, and violence are interconnected and so must be our solutions. We must move from extraction to restoration, from exclusion to inclusion, and from silence to action.

This , we call on all actors, communities, civil society, governments, and allies to recognize and invest in grassroots power. Because real climate solutions are not only technical; they are deeply social, feminist, and community-led.

Let us stand together to protect our ecosystems, amplify marginalized voices, and build a just and sustainable world where both people and the planet can thrive.

Our power is collective. Our responsibility is shared. Our planet is worth defending. 🌱

With support from , earlier this month we convened a campfire gathering in Eastern Uganda under our program, bringing together Structurally Silenced women and survivors of violence.

The campfire created a safe, survivor-centered space for healing, restoration, and collective recovery, where participants engaged in guided storytelling, peer support, and reflection. Rooted in the principles of WeRecover, the convening strengthened emotional wellbeing, resilience, and solidarity, while affirming the diginity and agency of participants.

It also served as a platform to rebuild trust, reduce isolation, and connect survivors to support systems, while generating lived-experience insights to inform responsive programming and advocacy. Through this process, the campfire contributed to advancing holistic recovery, community-led protection, and pathways toward safety, wellbeing, and justice
