Integration For Peace Uganda in partnership with Presbyterian Hunger Program, is supporting women through sustainable agricultural training and agribusiness skills that are opening real pathways to economic empowerment and financial independence.

Through this training, women are building sustainable livelihoods, creating new opportunities, and gaining confidence to lead within communities.

When women are empowered to succeed, they strengthen their families and entire community rises with them.

Integration For Peace Uganda conducted a Dignity Kits Distribution at 𝐒𝐭. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 in Jinja District, ensuring that no girl has to choose between her dignity and her education.

Through this outreach, schoolgirls received 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 reusable menstrual hygiene kits—sustainable, washable solutions that provide the reliability needed to stay in school without interruption, reducing the risk of missed learning.

Integration For Peace Uganda also facilitated life skills sessions focusing on menstrual health management, equipping the girls to manage their cycles safely and confidently. The sessions also addressed school attendance by identifying barriers to learning, while building self-esteem to challenge social stigma.

These engagements, made possible by our partners and donors, reflect our ongoing commitment to ensure every girl has the opportunity to succeed.

Education is a right, not a privilege. Together, we continue breaking the barriers that stand in the way of girls’ education.

A child's smile reflects something simple but powerful: safety, care, and the chance to grow without fear.

Yet for many girls in Uganda, this reality is not guaranteed. Violence in trusted spaces, pressure to leave school, lack of menstrual health support, and the risk of early marriage continue to disrupt childhoods and limit opportunities.

At Integration For Peace Uganda, we respond by supporting girls with education access, creating safe spaces, providing dignity kits, and engaging communities to challenge the barriers that keep girls from learning and thriving.

When girls are protected and empowered, families heal and communities transform. Let's stand together to ensure every girl child has the opportunity to grow, dream and thrive.

The power of women in farming🌱
From tilling the soil to managing harvests and post-harvest processes, women are present at every stage of agriculture. They drive food security, strengthen local economies, and hold communities together through every season of the year.

This is a leadership role rooted in resilience, consistency, and strength.

At Integration For Peace Uganda, we recognize and celebrate every woman shaping a more food-secure and self-reliant future through agriculture.

Over 22 young people are better equipped to build agribusiness services, while improving soil health in Jinja and Wakiso districts.

From April 8–11, the Soil Values Program delivered a four-day, hands-on training for young people from the two districts.
The workshop combined entrepreneurship and market development with practical agricultural skills, including seedling production, grafting, and organic fertilizer production (bokashi and compost incorporating local materials and biochar).

Participants also worked with tools like the Business Model Canvas and business management using the GERME approach, with exercises on distribution, customer relations, and production-cost calculation.

This training is part of a broader capacity-building initiative and builds on the recent equipment handover, delivered in partnership with FAO (Food For Africa Organization), alongside agricultural technical services. All participants received certificates recognizing their achievements.

Through Integration For Peace Uganda, Trainers of Trainers (TOTs) led 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫-𝐭𝐨-𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 with their fellow group members, bringing critical skills directly to the community level.

Topics explored included 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 to help communities identify, address, and peacefully resolve disputes, 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 that support families in building sustainable income sources and reducing economic vulnerability, and 𝐕𝐒𝐋𝐀 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 that strengthen collective savings, improve credit access, and promote financial solidarity across groups and their wider communities.

As group members gain these skills, they become 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 within their groups and households, contributing to stability, inclusion and lasting change in the communities they live in.
