Today is Friday. Juma for our Muslim brothers and sisters.
At Fecane, religion never divides us; it grounds us. We have kids from different backgrounds, different tribes, and different beliefs.
But when they step onto the pitch, they wear the same jersey.
In a divided world, the ghetto pitch is the ultimate equalizer.

GROWTH HAPPENS IN THE DIRT.

Look at the difference a year makes.
When we started, people said Fecane was just a group of street kids making noise.
Today, we are a family of disciplined athletes and dedicated students.
Change doesn't happen overnight. It happens through showing up every single Thursday, even when you are tired, hungry, and broke.

Giving a child a meal solves hunger for a day.
Giving them a team, a mentor, and discipline solves poverty for a lifetime.
We don't want Fecane to be a handout program. We are an empowerment engine.

A torn boot doesn't stop the talent, but it definitely causes the blisters.
Most of our kids play in shoes they found in the market, taped together until they fall apart.
We are slowly trying to equip the whole squad, but it takes time and resources.

WE ARE RAISING FATHERS, NOT JUST FOOTBALLERS.

In the streets, the older boys usually exploit the younger ones.
At Fecane, the older boys protect them.
I watched Juma (15) tie the boots of little Musa (7) today before practice. Nobody told him to do it. It is the culture we have built.
We aren't just teaching them how to pass a ball; we are teaching them how to be responsible men in a society that desperately needs them.
