As we were marching through the streets of Soroti, we came across an elderly woman on a wheelchair.

Instead of bypassing her, we decided to help. Our District Commissioner, Icumar Patrick, personally took the opportunity to roll her wheelchair and assist her on her way to where she was heading.

This is the true spirit of Scouting — **Duty to Others**. No one is left behind when Scouts are around.

Yesterday, the scouts of Soroti made history as they conducted a Scout wedding ceremony in partnership with the Church of Uganda clergy. We were delighted to witness our Chairperson of the Soroti District Scouts Council, Mr. Ocen Samuel, wed his beloved wife, Salume Ocen.

We sincerely appreciate and thank our scouts, who were smartly dressed, united, and well-organised throughout the function.

Soroti District Scouts Leadership Visits Kaazi National Scouts Campsite

The Soroti District Scouts leadership, led by the District Commissioner, Mr. Patrick Icumar , today took the Soroti District Sports Officer and the Inspector of Schools on a guided visit around the campsite of the Soroti District competitors at the Kaazi National Scouts Campsite.

The district education and sports leaders were given an opportunity to observe the general outlook of the campsite and appreciate how the young Scouts are living, learning, and participating in the National Scouts activities.

The young Scouts warmly welcomed their district education supervisors and the Scouts leadership, who took time to inspect their campsite and interact with them.

It was a wonderful moment of encouragement and support for our young people as they proudly represent Soroti District at the national level. ⚜️🏕️🇺🇬
