Turning seedlings into solutions, young climate stewards restoring green cover as part of our ongoing community resilience work. Every tree planted strengthens local ecosystems, lowers temperatures, and delivers measurable impact for a cooler, healthier future.

For the last two years, our bio‑briquette project has been turning waste into opportunity, and today we celebrate one of our beneficiaries who has mastered the skill of producing clean‑burning bio‑briquettes.

His briquettes burn longer, produce less smoke, and reduce dependence on charcoal, helping families save money while protecting our forests. What began as training has grown into a sustainable livelihood and a powerful example of community innovation.

A big appreciation to The Giving Exchange for supporting this journey and making transformation possible.

In our school life‑skills program, we use interactive games to build critical skills among learners, teamwork through the Human Knot, empathy through Step Forward–Step Back, confidence through Ball of Questions, and emotional intelligence through Emotion Charades. Learning becomes active, fun, and transformative.

Happy birthday to a remarkable mentor whose wisdom, patience, and unwavering belief in young people continue to shape our journey Judith Fleming. Your leadership lights the path, your encouragement strengthens our confidence, and your dedication inspires us to grow with purpose. May this new year bring you joy, strength, and the fulfilment you so generously pour into others.

Cooking with purpose, this sauce is simmering on a charcoal stove powered by a clean bio briquette. Through The Purple Ray, and with funding from The Giving Exchange, communities are learning sustainable cooking solutions that protect forests, reduce waste, and cut household fuel costs. Turning rubbish into energy is truly transforming daily life.

In a remote makeshift classroom, a young learner stands confidently before his peers, leading a lesson with the courage and hope that education can spark. Many of these children come from families where poaching has long been seen as the only path to survival. Yet here, in this fragile space, a new story is beginning.

We dream of building a community school without walls an open social space and living library where children can explore their talents, imagine new futures, and grow into protectors of their land rather than poachers of it. This simple moment is a glimpse of the future we are working toward: a place where learning opens doors that have never existed before.
